On The Bold and the Beautiful, children aren’t always seen — let alone heard! Case in point: Brooke Logan has a son, Jack, whose father is Nick Marone. He’s been away at either boarding school or sailing around the world with his dad, which is why we haven’t seen the young man in many years.
The Bold and the Beautiful Polling
Like many soap children, Jack, born in 2007, has a complicated backstory. His parents are Nick (Jack Wagner) and Taylor (Hunter Tylo). How did Brooke enter the parental picture? Unable to conceive, Taylor used a surrogate’s eggs — that belonged to Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang)! Taylor and Nick split. Unable to bond with Jack, Taylor gave the boy to Brooke.
Is it time for Jack to come back to Los Angeles and start interacting with his family again? Soap Hub posed this question to BB fans. Read on for the results.
Jack Attack
Nearly 56% of you feel that yes, Jack should come back to Los Angeles. His presence could easily add some conflict to Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Brooke’s marriage. Would Jack get along with his uncle/stepfather Ridge or would the young man be at odds with him? The show would need to add a love interest for the (likely) teen character. How would Brooke respond to a “have not” going after her son?
Jack Be Nimble
About 32% of you would like to see Jack back, but you want it to be for the right story. Does BB really have the real estate to give airtime over to a new teen set that would likely come along with Jack? Maybe Jack could be brought on without a bunch of pals and a love interest or two. Jack can’t come back soon enough if the story is the right one!
Time Travel
The rest of you, about 12%, say no. You’re not ready for Jack to come back. The show is half an hour and there are fan favorites who need more screen-time. Someday, the canvas will be populated with Jack and other members of the next generation, but for now, Jack can remain away from Los Angeles. The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) airs weekdays on CBS.
