Brooke Forrester is in a jam on The Bold and the Beautiful. She let Deacon Sharpe back into her life, and even though nothing happened beyond a New Year’s Eve smooch and sexless sleepover, Brooke’s marriage is in big trouble. Fortunately, she’s got her daughter Hope Logan Spencer upon whom she can rely.
However, is Hope (Annika Noelle) really the right person to handle her mom’s problems? Soap Hub asked viewers of B&B if Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) should be leaning so heavily on her daughter. Read on for the results.
Most of you, nearly 40%, say that Brooke should not burden Hope with her problems with Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) and Deacon (Sean Kanan) as she is Deacon’s daughter. Brooke has two sisters — Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) and Katie Logan (Heather Tom) — whom she can vent to. They’re older and have more experience in relationships. They’ve known Brooke all their lives. Brooke should be reaching out to her sisters at a time like this — not her child.
Many of you, about 35%, say that Hope is the right person for Brooke to turn to at this difficult time. However, it’s not just about Brooke talking to Hope so that she can feel better. Brooke can also help her daughter in this situation. Hope feels guilty that her wanting her dad around led to this mess, but Brooke can assure Hope that that’s not the case.
The rest of you, about 25%, don’t disagree that Brooke should turn to Hope right now, but you think that Brooke can talk to other people about this. For example, she could enlist the aid of a good psychiatrist.
Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) wouldn’t be the best candidate, but she could always look up Dr. James Warwick (Ian Buchanan) and get some advice for him. Sadly, Brooke’s mother, Beth Logan (Nancy Burnett), has gone to that great soap in the sky, but Brooke could also reach out to her sisters or her father, Stephen Logan (Patrick Duffy), and see if they could support her at this time.
