In the May 7 episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, Ridge suggested that Steffy should adopt a less aggressive leadership style. Steffy laughed at Hope when she reacted to her line being pushed back again. Steffy argued that it was a business decision, but Ridge thinks she needs to change her approach.

Key Takeaways

  • Steffy assured Hope that a design had been made.
  • FC is allocating resources for couture.
  • Ridge advised Steffy to take a softer approach to prevent alienating her.
  • Pushing out Hope could put FC in a bad light.

Ridge Advises Steffy to Lead With Kindness

Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) spoke with Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) about Hope’s (Annika Noelle) line being pushed back. Hope wanted a timeline. Steffy smiled when Hope expressed her disappointment, and Ridge didn’t like it.

Steffy claimed that Hope needed to suck it up. She said what she said. It was a business decision. Ridge reminded her they shelved Hope’s line. What does Steffy expect to happen? Of course, Hope would be upset about something she worked so hard on.

Carter admitted that it couldn’t be easy for Ridge and Brooke’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) relationship, given what they did to Hope for the Future. Steffy thinks Hope should be grateful and should support her grandfather.

Ridge told his daughter he didn’t want this to turn into an ordeal where they were feuding. He suggested that she take a softer approach to her leadership.

Is Icy Pushing Hope Out?

Steffy takes a more authoritarian approach. She doesn’t care what anyone thinks of their business decisions. She wants them to put up or shut up. But Ridge wants her to take a more pragmatic approach.

But she doesn’t want to baby Hope. Ridge suggested that Steffy should show Hope some respect. Steffy is confident that Hope will stay at Forrester Creations. Where else would she go?

Carter agreed about shifting their focus to couture. But she warned about what this could do to Hope and their other relationships. They could end up losing more colleagues, which wouldn’t look good for their company.

Could FC Face a PR Crisis?

Hope is already debating her future at Logan. She’s not sure if she’s ready to leave Forrester Creations and her mom. But if her mom isn’t going to become co-CEO and defend her, then she’ll have no other choice but to leave for good.

Steffy isn’t focused on Hope’s feelings. She argued to Ridge that they’re both CEOs and they have a company to run. She wants to ensure that what they’re doing helps their business grow, not fail.

Hope might not be the only one who jumps ship. Zende (Delon de Metz) could follow her once he grows a backbone, especially since they mostly worked together on HFTF. This could be a PR crisis for the fashion house, which is trying to distance itself from Logan’s debut.
