Zende learned from Steffy that Hope for the Future is halted once again on The Bold and the Beautiful. He worked on the line alongside Thomas, but Steffy assured him that there’s still a place for him at Forrester Creations. While Hope feels this is a professional betrayal, Zende wants to get the extra mile and help his family. Should he be more upset?

Key Takeaways

  • Hope for the Future has no future as Steffy pushes back the line’s debut.
  • Forrester Creations wants to shift its focus to couture, particularly Eric’s namesake line.
  • Zende and Thomas worked on HFTF and have everything ready to go.
  • Zende agreed to help out the Forresters with Eric’s couture collection.
  • Hope expressed disappointment that HFTF has fallen back again.

Zende Returns With a New Project

Zende (Delon De Metz) made a rare appearance on Tuesday’s episode. He joined Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Hope (Annika Noelle), who discussed HFTF being pushed aside in favor of couture. Zende informed Steffy that the line has been ready to go for months.

They’ve been waiting for the green light from Forrester Creations. Steffy explained that Eric (John McCook) was the heart of the company, and that it was time to honor him in light of Logan’s debut line.

Zende and Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) have worked tirelessly on HFTF for months. They wanted the world to see their best work. However, Steffy needs all hands on deck at this time.

Steffy assured Zende that her feelings about Hope didn’t impact her decision about Hope for the Future. Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) joined them after Hope left and said that sidelining the collection is about Forrester’s pride.

Zende expressed his upset about the prototypes sitting in the back room. But despite his disappointment, he was willing to help with whatever they needed. He understood that the fashion business is fickle and that things can change in an instant.

Should Zende Be a Team Player?

However, Zende should be more upset that his work is getting sidelined. He wanted to work on HTFT with Thomas. They brought back Thomas for a reason. Thomas wanted to reclaim his place in his family’s company.

Now, no one will get to see their work. Ridge and Eric (John McCook) told Zende that he could work alongside the “dream team” instead. Zende was caught in the middle. He wanted to stay on The Forresters’ good side, so he volunteered to get his hands dirty.

Steffy commended him for being a team player. She warned that anyone who didn’t exhibit this behavior would be removed, effective immediately. That includes Hope.

Some would argue that it’s Zende’s time to shine. He could’ve used this opportunity to stand up for himself and fight for HFTF. But instead, he accepted a project that he’s not as passionate about. Like Katie (Heather Tom) and Hope, Zende is setting aside his needs to satisfy The Forresters.
