REPORT CARD: How Is Ingo Rademacher Doing On The Bold and the Beautiful?

Ingo Rademacher debuted as Thorne right after Thanksgiving on The Bold and the Beautiful (BB), but he’s already sunk his teeth into the role of Eric’s firstborn son. Thorne’s hit the ground running by tussling with Ridge and letting Brooke know just how much she means to him.

Game Of Thornes
Nearly one-third of you, 32%, say that you love Rademacher as Thorne. The former General Hospital star has done his homework on his new character. He knows about the tragic loss of his daughter Aly.

Also, Thorne is fully aware of Ridge’s history in terms of how he’s treated Brooke, and the actor is also playing his character’s own romantic history with Brooke. Oh, and he’s played the “Marone” card with Ridge, pointing out he’s not a true Forrester. So far, Ingo’s Thorne is hitting all the right notes.

Slowly But Surely 
Not everyone is on board with the casting change but Rademacher is winning folks over quickly. Over 22% of you say that he is growing on you. If the actor stays on the path he’s already on, he’s going to continue to win viewers over.

Industry experts say that it’s best to hire a soap veteran with a fan following when recasting a big role. So it’s possible that many of Rademacher’s GH fans have followed him to B&B.

Give It Time
Less than half of you, almost 46%, say that you’re still getting used to Rademacher as Thorne. This is understandable as he hasn’t even been airing for a full month yet. In the coming weeks, we’ll see Rademacher’s Thorne interacting with more and more of the show’s cast of characters, certainly during the holiday episodes.

As always, it’s the storyline that matters. Thorne’s tale appears to be him asserting himself in a way that he never has before. It’s a compelling story in the hands of a stronger actor. We predict a bright future for Rademacher as Eric and Stephanie’s firstborn.
