The Bold and the Beautiful recap for Monday, January 8, 2024, featured a heated discussion and debate between Zende and RJ.
In addition, Thomas and Finn’s conversation was all conflict and no care or kindness. Later, Thomas begged Steffy to help him out with Finn. Poppy filled in Luna on her date with Bill. Luna received a mysterious note that led to her own special date. And Xander, once again, told tales about Thomas’s past. Now let’s dig a little deeper into what happened.
Right off the bat, Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) did a Finn (Tanner Novlan) impression of him putting Thomas on notice. Unsurprisingly, Finn doesn’t think Hope should trust Thomas at all (which he told her here). But Thomas insisted he’s changed. That Thomas and Hope (Annika Noelle) are a couple and she was his future. Clearly, Finn was not seeing it.
Ultimately, Thomas doesn’t want Finn to see him as a threat and he didn’t want him to think Hope’s a damsel in distress. Just remember that Thomas is the uncle to Finn’s son. They’re family. Please don’t let Xander (Adain Bradley) come between them and please don’t drive a wedge between Hope and him. Finn didn’t waiver from his belief that Thomas wasn’t fit to be with Hope.
Luna (Lisa Yamada) “lured” Poppy (Romy Park) to Forrester so she could find out about her mom’s date with Bill (Don Diamont). Poppy reported how her reconnection with Bill went great. Then, Luna received a mysterious note about meeting them for dinner in the salon in one hour. Luna’s certain RJ’s the one that invited her. After all, he pays attention to every detail, he gives her the world. Poppy noticed that she sounded like a girl in love.

Meanwhile, RJ (Joshua Hoffman) invited Zende (Delon de Metz) to work on his project with Ridge (Thorsten Kaye). In this heated exchange, Zende called RJ a draftsman while he was a designer. Also, he felt Ridge wasn’t in need of somebody to draw for him. He loved that RJ wanted to be a part of the company, but leading a project? Nope.
Zende still doesn’t understand why RJ has been given more opportunities around here than everyone else. Because he’s the Golden Child — Ridge Junior! At the end of the day, Zende doesn’t think RJ has the chops to work on a historic collection and that all he is is entitled. After hearing that, RJ was done with Zende and he stormed out of the room leaving their discussion unfinished.
Later, at the hospital, RJ visited Eric (John McCook), who was away getting tests. Elsewhere, in the salon at Forrester Creations, Luna arrived dressed in a Forrester Original. Then, Zende entered the room and let Luna know he was the one who sent the note.
When Thomas and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) met up again, he immediately told her about his conversation with Finn. And the fact he overheard her husband bashing him to Hope. Steffy doesn’t think Thomas corrupted Hope, but she does feel she’s changed. But Thomas wasn’t happy with what he heard Finn say — that he wasn’t good for Hope at all. Thomas asked Steffy to talk to Finn and convince him that he’s not a threat.
Simultaneously, Xander (Adain Bradley) and Finn talked again in the doctor’s office, where the former pushed the same story. That Thomas was dangerous and responsible for Emma Barber’s (Nia Sioux) death. He insisted that everything he’s been telling him was the truth. Finn grew even more concerned. As for Xander, he doesn’t care if the investigation was over. Thomas threatened him and he was capable of murder. And they should all know it!
