On today’s The Bold and the Beautiful episode, Thomas Forrester is subjected to another barrage of questions concerning his relationship [or lack thereof] with Hope.
In addition, Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Taylor (Krista Allen) call their friendship quits and the former makes her intentions towards Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) clear. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.
At Forrester Creations, Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) oversaw Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) making the final touches on his latest creation. He’s toiled over the gown for days. Changed just about everything. Luckily, his gut is paying off. Steffy adored what she saw and Savannah the model declared it was her all-time favorite.

Thomas expressed a desire that Hope (Annika Noelle) would be equally enamored with it, and Savannah assured him she would. Hope loves everything he creates — and what a team they make. They work great together, so in sync. It’s almost like they’re a couple.
That comment hit Steffy like a Mack Truck and led her to dismiss Savannah so she griped about it. Thomas swore that it had been a harmless remark, but Steffy said that perhaps Savannah had been picking up on “a vibe” between the two.
Not so, declared Thomas. There’s no vibe to pick up on. There is absolutely nothing to worry about where he and Hope are concerned. Steffy reminded that she’d heard those words before, and Thomas reiterated that a relationship with Hope is the farthest thing from his mind — but Steffy is free to be as paranoid as she wants.
When Steffy pressed on [making it a point to say that a relationship might not be on Thomas’s mind], Thomas demanded to know what he’d done to make her question his integrity prompting Steffy to spit that she was not pointing the finger at him.
Talk turns to the fast-approaching sojourn to Rome and Steffy warns that one could get swept up in the beauty and romance of it all. Thomas poo-pooed the notion. Others might, but not him and Hope because they’re colleagues. [Right. Sure. Whatever.]
Across the hall, a flummoxed Ridge demanded an explanation for Brooke and Taylor’s shoving match and Brooke was happy to oblige. Taylor, she insisted, had broken their pact and insidiously set her up with other men so that she can have a clear path to him.
Taylor played the bereaved party and insisted that she saw a genuine spark between Brooke and Deacon (Sean Kanan) and had merely attempted to help fan the flame. But that’s not how Brooke saw it. She saw it as Taylor setting up Deacon for heartache and selling her down the river. Brooke then called upon Taylor to admit the truth, to admit that she’d been playing her all along to get to Ridge — she’d already said as much when they were alone together.
What Taylor did was grant that it doesn’t look good for her now and promise that what she did wasn’t all shady and manipulative. Also, she expressed hope that Brooke would, in time, once she’s not so angry, come to see things from a different perspective.
After concluding that their friendship was well and truly at an end and that they both regret that mightily, Brooke and Taylor bid farewell and Ridge requested some time alone with the former. Taylor took her leave [but not before whining to Ridge that he doesn’t know the whole story] and Brooke and Ridge got down to some serious discussion about them and, to quote Brooke, “what our future looks like from here.”
Ridge expressed amazement that Brooke might still believe in eternal love when he no longer does and Brooke informed him that not only does she believe in that, but she still believes that they’re destined to be together.
At Il Giardino, Trattoria Rustica, Hope inquired as to Deacon’s long face, and he, in turn, filled her in on the pitch he made to Brooke and how he’d been persuaded to do so by Taylor. Hope immediately assumed that this was all a devious ploy on Taylor’s part and, despite himself, Deacon couldn’t help but agree.
Back at FC, Taylor interrupted her kids’ convo to relay everything that went down with Brooke and Ridge [making sure to paint herself as innocent in it all]. After taking it all in, Steffy wondered whether this means that Taylor now wants to get back together with Ridge, and Taylor responded in the affirmative. In fact, she’s always wanted to reunite with her ex.
