On today’s The Bold and the Beautiful episode, Hope Logan felt the sting of yet another day without her precious son, then faced the indignity that is her clothing line on the chopping block.
In addition, Finn (Tanner Novlan) and Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) were feted for their wonderous, respective achievements. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.
Despite still having the daughter that she once believed to be dead, Hope (Annika Noelle) just can’t help but miss Douglas (Henry Joseph Samiri). Oh, that little boy is a gift from G-d. Without, life just seems unbearable. Oh why, oh, why did she allow hubris to cloud her better judgment? Why, oh, why did she agree to let Douglas choose where he wanted to live? To say that the decision blew up in her face would be an understatement.
In your defense, offered Liam (Scott Clifton), Douglas did swear to our faces that he wanted to live his life with us. How were we to know that he’d wind up choosing Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) when Steffy wasn’t an option to begin with?

A terrible thought dawned. What if Douglas decides to remain with Steffy and Finn forever?! Never going to happen, assured Liam. In no time flat, Douglas will be back home, with them, where he belongs.
After dishing out that food for thought, Liam questioned whether there was anything else bothering Hope. Aside from the Douglas of it all. Well, where to even begin? In addition to Douglas, there’s Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) on the loose and under the protection of Bill (Don Diamont) — Hope will have to personally thank her father-in-law for that one sometime soon. Oh, and Hope For The Future is doing bad. Real bad.
Ten years ago to the day, Carter came aboard Forrester Creations, and it’s been one Hell of an adventure. The man in question has clawed his way to the Chief Operating Officer position, forged a deep bond with Ridge (Thorsten Kaye), bedded all manner of beautiful ladies — including the boss’s wife — and he even got his kit off and strutted down a runway. Good times. Good times. Carter’s reward? A very nice card and a bauble for his desk. Here’s to the next 10!
Meanwhile, Li (Naomi Matsuda) had to crow over what an absolutely fantastic job Finn has been doing at the hospital that they both now apparently work in. There’s even talk of a promotion in her son’s future. Fingers crossed.
Doc Finn couldn’t be more excited. Well, he could. But he’s tired. Glad handing, doctoring, and being the most awesomest of dads can be a bit of a drain. It’s worth it, though.
As if Steffy didn’t have enough on her plate as it is, now she’s got to figure out what to do in regard to Hope For The Future…and she doesn’t intend to let sentimentality cloud her judgment. Hard choices are going to have to be made. As she later explains to an incredulous Hope, the numbers are dropping, nay plummeting, and drastic action is required.
That’s majorly disconcerting to Hope. Here she was hoping (HA!) that they could just adopt a wait-and-see approach. After all, there’s every chance that success is imminent…right? Steffy doesn’t seem to think so. She wants something done in the here and now. But what, wondered Hope. Is Steffy thinking of shuddering the line permanently?! Say it isn’t so.
