The Bold and the Beautiful recaps for August 8 – August 12, 2022, feature frustration, fornication, bright futures, and one particularly grisly finale.
Despite expressing her gratitude for Li Finnegan’s (Naomi Matsuda) rescuing and nursing of John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan), Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) takes her mother-in-law to task for keeping her actions secret; Li is hardly chastened.
Hope Logan Spencer (Annika Noelle) recounts for Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) the drama wrought by the selfie she took, and posted, of her, Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang), and Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan). Opposite this, Ridge and Brooke discussed the matter; Ridge registered his disappointment in his wife, then took off to make merry with his ex, Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen).
Brooke assures Hope that Ridge has gotten over the family photo she snapped… Brooke intunes that Ridge is withholding something pertinent… Taylor and Ridge’s playful interaction belies their longing for one another… Taylor’s return to the cliff house brings an end to Steffy and Li’s standoff… Taylor confides her and Ridge’s smooch to Steffy.
Hope and Liam bask in their togetherness… Steffy and Finn make love for the first time since their reunion… Steffy pushes for Taylor to put up a fight for Ridge… Ridge hedges when Brooke tries to get him to open up to her.
At Detective Alex Sanchez’s (Jeremy Ray Valdez) urging, Brooke summons relevant parties – sans Ridge – to Forrester Creations. Sanchez announces that Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) has been mauled to death by a bear; the assemblage is incredulous; Sanchez produces a severed toe as further proof of his claim.
Douglas Forrester (Django Ferri) expresses his dissatisfaction with his status quo. Thomas broaches with Hope the subject of moving himself and Douglas into the Forrester manse; Hope isn’t the least bit receptive.
Sheila’s victims take stock of the news of her demise. Upon being apprised, Thomas scoffs… Word of Sheila’s fate begins to disseminate. Li tells Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) and thanks him for the kindness he showed her; Brooke fills Hope, Liam, and Deacon Sharpe in.
Deacon instructs Hope and Liam to go on the defensive where Thomas is concerned… Steffy makes a point of revealing Ridge and Taylor’s kiss to Thomas. Steffy encourages her parents to make a real attempt at reconciliation.
