The Bold and the Beautiful recaps for December 5 – December 9, 2022, feature investigations, inconvenient truths, random run-ins, and more.
Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Hope Logan Spencer (Annika Noelle) profusely thanked Steffy Forrester Finnegan’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) for outing Thomas Forrester’s (Matthew Atkinson) machinations; Steffy makes it clear that she’s still lobbying for Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) to choose Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen).
Brooke confronts Thomas who admits that he’s not in the least bit sorry for the trickery he employed… Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) comes to regret harboring Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown)… At John “Finn” Finnegan’s (Tanner Novlan) request, Detective Sanchez (Jeremy Ray Valdez) turns over what remains of Sheila’s supposed fatal mauling: her severed toe. Upon examining the digit, Finn expresses concern to Steffy that it appears perfectly excised at not chomped or torn. The truth begins to sink in: Sheila is alive and well!
Further examination leads Finn to declare definitively that Sheila removed her own toe and used it to stage her death; Steffy is horrified by the implications… Deacon demands that Sheila turn herself in lest he tips her hand. In response, Sheila dons her mask and wig and sets off for parts unknown… Hope Logan Spencer (Annika Noelle) blasts Thomas for his actions and fires him from the Hope For The Future line.
Deacon hurriedly packs Sheila’s remaining belongings… Steffy and Finn avail themselves of any assistance Deacon might be in helping them track Sheila down… Brooke updates Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) — Ridge is on a journey of self-discovery and upon his return he’ll decide whether he wants to be with her or Taylor; Carter expresses his preference for Brooke. Brooke throws her all behind Carter and Katie Logan (Heather Tom).
Katie is put out to see that Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) has taken to wearing his sword necklace — a harbinger of dark days ahead. Bill makes yet another plea for Katie to take him back, but she refuses. She deserves better than a man who’s still in love with her sister.
Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) tries and fails to soothe a raging Bill… Deacon swears to Steffy and Finn that he knows nothing in regard to Sheila. They believe him… Katie catches Carter in a state of undress at Forrester Creations; the two engage in flirty interplay which climaxes with Carter pulling Katie into a passionate clinch.
Steffy and Finn wrangle Eric Forrester (John McCook), Brooke, Hope, Liam, and Carter and share with them their suspicion that Sheila is still among the living; the assemblage is incredulous… Sheila returns to Deacon’s and finds him in a state of panic. He warns that Steffy and Finn have rumbled her subterfuge. Despite the risk it poses to her freedom, Sheila is impressed by her son’s ingenuity.
Sheila redons her disguise, thanks Deacon for his friendship, and takes her leave of him… Steffy and Finn head for Il Giardino. Steffy steals away to phone Taylor and runs smack dab into Sheila whom she recognizes after clocking the “stranger’s” nine toes!
