The Bold and the Beautiful recaps for July 17 – July 21, 2023, feature justice failing a plethora of victims and a toxic relationship coming to a close just as two more begin.
With Wyatt (Darin Brooks) upping the pressure, Liam (Scott Clifton) breaks and confesses to kissing Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) not once, but twice…. Despite Brooke’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) edict, Hope (Annika Noelle) stands her ground and stakes her claim on Thomas (Matthew Atkinson)…. Steffy and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) ponder whether she might be a big part of Hope and Liam’s problem.
Brooke forgoes telling Ridge about Hope and Thomas’s secret rendevous…. Hope makes it clear to Liam that she’s through with him and their marriage…. Finn (Tanner Novlan) warns Steffy that he won’t tolerate Liam making a nuisance of himself now that he and Hope are estranged. Steffy assures her husband that he has nothing to worry about.
Hope presents Liam with divorce papers and the two add their signatures…. Mike (Ken Hanes) cautions Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) about getting her hopes up — she’s never, ever getting out of lockup…. Finn finds himself in the unenviable position of having to act as Sheila’s physician…. RJ (Joshua Hoffman) worries himself silly over Hope’s messy love life.
Despite his better judgment, Finn finds himself thawing toward Sheila…. Hope insisted to Wyatt that the real issue in her and Liam’s marriage was Steffy, not her sudden attraction to Thomas. What’s more, she relays that she and Liam have signed divorce papers…. Liam updates Steffy on recent goings-on and sings Finn’s praises.
Finn puts Liam on notice…. Brooke, Eric (John McCook), and Deacon (Sean Kanan) ponder and debate Sheila’s fate…. Judge Evan Scott reluctantly drops all charges against Sheila. She is free to go…. Liam spies an affectionate moment between Sheila and Finn.
