The Bold and the Beautiful recaps for October 10 – October 14, 2022, feature the seeming end of a supercouple, though not for the first time, nor will this probably be their last estrangement.
Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) and Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) delight Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) with the news of their reunion; the trio share the news with Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson); Thomas preens and prods Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) and Eric Forrester (John McCook); Donna warns Thomas not to count Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) out just yet… Brooke arrives in Aspen and begs Ridge for an explanation; he tells her that he’s recommitted himself to Taylor and their family.
Steffy is chagrined by Brooke’s presence… Brooke is devastated by Ridge’s restated position and his refusal to tell her why. The couple’s fraught exchange is spied on by former Forrester Creations employee Othello (Othello R. Clark)… Steffy phones Thomas with an update; Donna admits to being the one who alerted Brooke to Ridge’s decampment to Aspen… Thomas privately gloats that his plan — substituting his voice for Brooke’s via Douglas Forrester’s (Henry Joseph Samiri) app and phoning Child Protective Services — was a raging success.
Ridge bid Brooke adieu… Steffy made a point of gloating to Brooke… Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) purloins some steaks and whiskey from Il Giardino; Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) is amused by her actions, the subsequent romantic meal for two that she prepares, and the jealousy she displays over his interaction with Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott).
The Bold and the Beautiful was preempted due to CBS News’ coverage of the January 6 Hearings.
Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) treats Katie Logan (Heather Tom) to lunch. He makes a pitch for reconciliation; she rejects him on the grounds that she’ll always play second fiddle to Brooke. Othello phones Bill with an update: Brooke and Ridge are caput, and the former is Los Angeles bound… Ridge prepares a romantic scene for Taylor; the two make love; Ridge is forlorn in the aftermath… Bill offers his shoulder for Brooke to cry on; she accepts.
