On today’s The Bold and the Beautiful episode, Taylor Hayes deflected any blame by throwing up Brooke’s plethora of bad choices.
In addition, Eric (John McCook) made it crystal clear that he was Team Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang)…and sick and tired of people congregating in his office and sitting in his chair. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.
An incredulous Brooke went in on Taylor (Krista Allen), accusing her of manipulating situations and biding her time until she could stab her in the back. “How could you? Really, how could you be deceitful? Setting me up with Deacon so that you — so that YOU could be with Ridge.”

Taylor attempted to cut in with an explanation, but Brooke didn’t want to hear her excuses. She had, after all, heard all the disparaging remarks Taylor made about her to Ridge. How could Taylor do that? How could Taylor betray their pact? Brooke thought they’d really turned a corner, that they were truly embarking on a new future; that they were “showing our children that rivalries can be overcome and something beautiful, and wonderful, and fulfilling can come out of it. Like our friendship.”
But oh no. Taylor hadn’t actually put anything behind them. She was just waiting to make a move on Ridge. So much for honesty and transparency. Taylor wasn’t looking out for Brooke when she tried to set her up with Hollis (Hollis W. Chambers) and Deacon (Sean Kanan) — it was a calculated move.
Taylor huffed that she’d just been trying to help which prompted Brooke to pointedly wonder just who it was that Taylor was trying to help. Brooke? Deacon? Herself? Taylor then proffered that Brooke had misunderstood what she said to Deacon and added, “I value you. And our friendship.” What’s more, she’d never do anything to intentionally jeopardize it.
She’d just been very hurt and very ruffled that Brooke hadn’t confided her concerns about Hope (Annika Noelle) and that Brooke always painted Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) as the villain — and if Brooke was hiding something that major, what else might she be hiding? That’s where Ridge comes into it.
Brooke bemoaned letting her guard down and trusting Taylor 100%. She never saw her BFF hurting her and deceiving her in such a way. She’s been hurt by people before, but never like this.
Taylor continued to hem and haw, and Brooke finally exploded. She wanted Taylor to stop pretending and just admit that she wants Ridge. Taylor obliged and more.
“I don’t think you’re right for Ridge, you know. I don’t think he’s right for you either. The two of you have caused each other so much pain over the years, you know. I don’t think you’re good for him. And, you know, I don’t think you have ever been.”
Across the hall, Eric queried how things were going between Brooke and Taylor, once again nudged Ridge into packing his gear and getting out of the big house, and wondered if his son had made any progress with Brooke. Actually, no. But Taylor had come to him and told him how she really feels.
Eric questioned whether or not Ridge had encouraged that particular ex in any way, then offered a sobering observation: “Taylor is not the love of your life Ridge. The love of your life is Brooke Logan. And she always will be.”
Before Ridge took his leave — and before the two men exchanged heartwarming “I love you” — Eric took a moment to grouse about the public forum his office had become and finally gave voice to complaints made by fans far and wide.
At Il Giardino, Trattoria Rustica, Deacon relayed his failed attempt to woo Brooke to an understanding Hollis [both men agree that they should get matching “I’ve Been Dumped By Brooke” T-shirts] and his upset at having allowed himself to be suckered in by Taylor. When Hollis wondered what Taylor’s deal was, Deacon helpfully explained, “That’s easy. She wants Ridge all to herself.”
Back at Forrester, Eric’s office to be exact, Brooke continued to rail at Taylor — who got in a few pointed barbs of her own [like calling Brooke disgusting for having a baby with her daughter’s husband] — before resolving to run to Ridge and tell him everything. Taylor attempted to stymie Brooke’s exit and soon the two were shoving one another around the room. Enter Ridge to break up the fight and demand an explanation…which Brooke was more than happy to provide.
