On today’s The Bold and the Beautiful episode, Steffy Forrester lowered the boom on an unsuspecting Hope who does not seem poised to thank her for it.
In addition, Liam (Scott Clifton) made the rounds, and Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) traded one sanctuary for another. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.
An angsty Hope (Annika Noelle) braced herself for what was to come. Was Steffy about to tell her that she was canceling Hope For The Future? Not exactly. Steffy’s in no big hurry to dispense with the line completely, but she does have a mind to put it on pause for the foreseeable *eh um* future.
Oh, please, not that, not a pause, begged Hope. She’s sure that she, Zende (Delon de Metz), and Eric (John McCook) can get things back on track. They just need a little more time.

But time is the issue, explained Steffy. That and the fact that she no longer wishes for Zende and Eric to split their focus between HFTF and their own courtier line. Drastic action is required if HFTF is to be saved. How drastic, wondered Hope.
Drastic enough that Steffy summoned Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) and Taylor (Krista Allen) to the office for an impromptu meeting, conditionally hired Thomas back on the spot, and more than strongly suggested that Hope avail herself of Thomas’s skills and knowhow.
Hope wasn’t happy to hear that news. Aren’t Thomas and Steffy still feuding? Wasn’t it just a month or so ago that Steffy was giving Hope Hell for even considering welcoming Thomas back? What in the world is going on here?
Taylor spoke up, letting Hope know that it was her doing. She stepped got her children to forgive and forget, and now they’re all one big, happy family again. YAY! Hope was less than pleased to hear about the about-face Taylor had engineered.
With want of something to do, Liam swung by Il Giardino to shoot the breeze with Deacon (Sean Kanan) and update him on Hope’s myriad of woes.
Deacon really felt for his daughter. First, Hope has to hand Douglas off to Steffy, and now her life’s work might be at an end. How terrible. Liam agreed with Decon. And then there’s the Sheila of it all. G-d, Sheila’s just the worst. Liam didn’t understand his own father could be so taken in by the villainess. Deacon lied and said he didn’t understand it either.
After the coffee klatch, Liam took his leave of Deacon and headed over to Casa Spencer. Neither Liam nor Sheila was particularly pleased to see one another. Liam also bristled at Sheila’s addressing him as Junior. How dare she!
Once Sheila exited stage left — to go run some errands, yes, errands — Liam launched into yet another round of, “Dad, how can you be so blind.” Bill seemed unconcerned by his son’s concerns. So, no change there, then.
Meanwhile, Sheila made a beeline for Deacon’s rinky-dink studio apartment. “What are you doing here,” wondered Deacon, adding, “I thought you said goodbye to me forever.” Perhaps she didn’t really mean it after all.
