On today’s The Bold and the Beautiful episode, Steffy Forrester Finnegan rained down a (rather earned) condemnation on Hope.
In addition, mama bear Taylor (Krista Allen) implored Liam (Scott Clifton) to get some faith, and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) sang his son’s praises. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.
Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) was incredulous and itching for an argument. How dare Hope (Annika Noelle)?! How absolutely dare she?!
Steffy wasn’t blind. She’d seen Hope caressing Thomas’s (Matthew Atkinson) hands, staring into his eyes, and saying “all the things that she was saying” and that scene left Steffy with one Hell of a question: Does Hope have feelings for Thomas? Steffy wanted the truth, and she wanted it “NOW!”

A quaking Hope attempted to dissuade Steffy of her notion that something untoward had transpired between her [Hope] and Thomas and that Steffy was merely reading into something that wasn’t there, but Steffy was convinced.
And, Steffy wasn’t in the least bit sold on Hope being the innocent party. She groused how she and Taylor and the rest of the family had been worried about Thomas and his actions but “Not sweet Hope, who never misbehaves. But you are now.”
Then Steffy made the cruelest cut of all by pointedly wondering if Hope was actually turning into her mother. Hope swore that this was all a big misunderstanding, that she was wholly committed to Liam and their marriage and their family. It’s Liam that she loves. And, when Steffy asked whether or not Hope missed Thomas’s “affection for her,” Hope denied it strenuously.
Steffy, however, was not quite convinced. She warned Hope against reigniting Thomas’s obsession with her, then hissed that she’d better “not lead Thomas on or undermine the progress my brother has made.” Steffy’s parting shot: “I’ll be watching you.”
After having been stuck with the check by Wyatt (Darin Brooks), the last thing that Liam wanted to do was make nice with Taylor when she joined him at his table at Il Giardino, Trattoria Rustica. But, make nice he did — even though the topic of the conversation Taylor wanted to have with him was Thomas.
Taylor did her utmost to convince Liam that Thomas was a changed man, that he won’t cross any lines where Hope is concerned, that he won’t risk throwing away his career and his family and all the progress that he’s made; it was all for naught.
Back at Forrester Creations, Ridge happened upon Thomas internally — well, internally and externally — debating whether or not Hope had actually been giving him a rather mixed signal and wondered if there was something he could help his son with. Did Thomas have something he needed to get off his chest?
Thomas admitted that he did…but rather than admit to what was troubling him, he showed off the latest sales number for Hope For The Future and then profusely thanked Ridge for finding within himself to forgive him his litany of trespasses.
Thomas granted if it wasn’t for his family and Hope believing in him and being willing to extend yet another chance, he wouldn’t be in the healthy place that he is today.
