On today’s The Bold and the Beautiful episode, a disbelieving Sheila Carter made tracks for her lover’s place to tell him that her other lover just popped the question.
In addition, Stephen (Patrick Duffy), Lucy (Linda Pearl), and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) continued to provide helpful recapitulation, while Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Agent Chen oversaw the Sheila-related goings on. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.
At Il Giardino, Deacon (Sean Kanan) inquired as to whether or not Hollis intended to continue pursuing Brooke. Hollis, for his part, admitted that he’d love to…but Brooke’s just not ready to put herself back out there, and he’s got to respect her wishes. That said, Hollis is counting on Ridge’s absence, failing to make Brooke’s heart grow fonder.
Now, what about Deacon? How’s his love life? Hollis is desperate to “live vicariously” through his boss. Deacon swore that Hollis, at a mere one, had been on as many dates as him as of late. But what of that mystery woman, queried Hollis. Are they no longer an item?

According to Deacon, they very much are not — cue the flashbacks to his and Sheila’s latest rolls in the hay to illustrate his lying prowess — and the only mystery in his life is whether or not his restaurant will be a success.
Opposite this, at Bill’s palatial abode, Sheila was at a loss for words.
Had Bill really just proposed marriage? Yes, yes, he had. The way Bill sees it, getting married will finally break down any barriers that still exist between them. It will prove to Sheila, once and for all, that she can believe in and trust him — completely and utterly.
“When I put this ring on your finger, it means that we can be open with each other about anything,” suggested Bill. But no sooner had he begun to slip the bauble on than Sheila stopped him. She can’t believe what’s happening. She never imagined that she’d actually become Mrs. Bill Spencer. Bill concurred.
But this is what he wants (yeah, right). He wants a future with Sheila. A future where she’s his wife. A future where they are open and honest, with full transparency. Where nothing is hidden. Where there are no secrets.
Still, Sheila hedged. What kind of prenup she would have to sign? None, assured Bill. There would be no prenup, no lawyers, no legalese. “Nothing but my undying commitment to you.” Sheila then begged for time. Time to process. Bill acquiesced…but only if Sheila would take her would-be-engagement ring with her.
Off to Deacon’s abode, Sheila flew in order to fill him in on Bill’s proposal. She even produced the ring for Deacon’s benefit. Is it possible, even conceivable, that she’s about to get exactly what she’s always wanted?
At Forrester Creations, Stephen groused about Ridge being missing in action at so critical a juncture. As is her wont, Brooke made excuses for her ex. He’d just been so disillusioned after his wedding to Taylor (Krista Allen) that wasn’t. That, however, didn’t wash with Stephen.
He railed that Ridge should be HERE, in L.A., by his family’s side during this period of upheaval. Lucy concurred. Especially with Sheila being out and about and clearly exerting influence over Bill. But Brooke was resolute in her belief that whatever Ridge was doing — wherever it was he was doing it — it was for his benefit as well as for the family.
Meanwhile, Ridge and Agent Chen took in all the recent happenings, and reiterated their endgame: get Sheila to confess to the multiple murders she committed and get her locked up for life. Afterward, Ridge phoned Bill to yell at/encourage him to get Sheila to play ball. He’s working on it! He’s working on it!
