Ridge Forrester and RJ talked things out.
On today’s The Bold and the Beautiful episode, Ridge Forrester disappointed his son with his doubting a reunion between him and Brooke was written in the stars.
In addition, Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Taylor (Krista Allen) faced off, and Liam (Scott Clifton) continued to brood over Hope’s (Annika Noelle) association with Thomas (Matthew Atkinson). Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.
At Forrester Creations, Eric (John McCook) and RJ (Joshua Hoffman) good-naturedly teased Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) about not having himself packed and ready for the upcoming flight to Rome, then giggled to themselves as they watched him struggle to effectively communicate with scatterbrained Charlie (Dick Christie).
The subject of Brooke accompanying the entourage to Italy was broached, as was the possibility of Taylor attending. While Eric understood and supported Brooke’s tagging along, he didn’t so much get Taylor’s presence. In fact, he labeled it a bad idea. RJ cosigned.

Once Eric had taken his leave, RJ and Ridge remained behind to discuss Brooke and whether or not Ridge could see the two of them ever becoming one again. Not that RJ was parent-trapping. He’s staying well and truly clear of family drama. Ridge and Brooke’s business is Ridge and Brooke’s business…but if they were to reunite, RJ wouldn’t mind.
Ridge confided that, at present, he and Brooke were doing their best not to repeat old bad habits. They’re trying to break the cycle of pain and disappointment. They don’t want to hurt each other anymore. Or the people they care about. RJ gets that, but destiny.
In the office across the hall, Taylor issued Brooke a half-hearted apology for her recent actions, but Brooke wasn’t interested — nor was she in the mood to hear Taylor intimate that she’d be heading to Rome for the preview. This was Forrester Creations business, and Taylor did not belong!
More back and forth, more cattiness. For a moment, a brief moment, there was a thaw during which Brooke confided that Ridge seemed lost…like he’d lost his faith. “In destiny?” wondered Taylor.
Opposite, Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Liam’s debate over whom he should be worried about — his wife or Thomas — Hope (Annika Noelle) was subjected to Deacon’s (Sean Kanan) barrage of questions about her dealings with Thomas and his advice to listen to her husband and his concerns.
Once Hope and Liam came together at the cabin, she beseeched him not to make yet another plea for her to bar Thomas from the preview or complain about the time the two spend together. She reiterated that she was Liam’s wife and that she loved him, and their family, and that she’d be returning to him in no time flat. Still, Liam worried.
