Ridge and Steffy Pressure Hope to Define Her Thomas Feelings

The Bold and the Beautiful recap for Wednesday, December 27, 2023, both Steffy and Ridge put Hope on the spot regarding her feelings for Thomas.

In addition, Steffy and Thomas argued about his relationship with Hope. Ridge and Finn shared a heartwarming moment. And has a new rivalry formed…maybe. Let’s dig deeper into the details of what went down.

Sibling Standoff

In one corner, Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), the protective sister who tried to get an answer out of the woman Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) was in love with. In the other corner, was Thomas who didn’t appreciate Steffy’s unwelcome interference. After all, he’s “a grown ass man.” Regardless, Steffy kept coming at Hope (Annika Noelle), asking her if she was in love with her brother.

In fact, she wanted to know if Hope was ever going to be in love with her brother (find out our thoughts on the matter here). Because right now, she can’t believe Hope will ever return his feelings. Ultimately, she feared Hope’s inability to say those words to Thomas would mess with all the work he’s done to improve himself. Obviously, nobody wants to see Thomas spiral back into that dark, obsessive place again.

A Moment Between In-Laws

In kinder, gentler news, Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Finn (Tanner Novlan) had a very nice conversation that ended in a heartwarming hug. Before this show of affection, the two talked about Eric’s health (obviously). Eric (John McCook) was breathing on his own, getting stronger, and he was generally starting to feel better. That’s all they could ask for.

For his part, Ridge still second-guessed his decision to give in to everybody’s pleas to go with Finn’s experimental treatment. But, all in all, he was happy his dad was alive and showing incremental signs of improvement. He recognized Finn was the man who made this happen. He was the man who saved his dad’s life. Now all they needed to do was wait for the results of the tests Finn recently ordered to see if Eric was truly on the right track.

Added Pressure

When Thomas asked Hope to leave him alone with Steffy, she went to go hide out in the CEO office. After Ridge entered the room, Hope’s, well, hope for a minute of peace, went up in smoke. Ridge immediately put her on the spot. However, he was less invasive and intense about it than his daughter.

Hope simply wanted space to make a decision about her feelings for Thomas. And she felt any violation of their boundaries would be detrimental to the process and would only lead to trouble.

A New Rivalry Is Born?

Well, it might be a little late for that sentiment, considering the heated discussion between Steffy and Thomas that grew more intense with every second. Steffy wasn’t backing down and neither was Thomas. He felt Steffy didn’t know what she was talking about. He was fine with Hope not saying those three all-important words. She doesn’t have to yet — he knows there are feelings of love there.

What’s more, Thomas didn’t care if his sister supported his relationship or not. He just didn’t want her working to destroy it! When Thomas raised his voice even further, Finn arrived and interrupted the conversation. He yelled at Thomas to stop talking to his wife like that. Then the conversation morphed into a silent Finn/Thomas stare down. Is there a new rivalry in town?
