In The Bold and the Beautiful recap for Thursday, January 18, 2024, Dollar Bill introduced Poppy to Sheila on their date at Il Giardino.
In addition, Finn finally released Eric from the hospital. At home, Eric reflected on his experience going to that special place where he saw Stephanie. Ridge needed to know one thing from his dad. And Deacon and Sheila flirted. Let’s dig into the details of what went down.
At the hospital, Eric (John McCook, get a backstage look at McCook here) was ready and raring to go home. With Donna (Jennifer Gareis) by his side, the Forrester patriarch joked, reflected, and walked out of there using his own two feet. But not before he expressed how grateful he was to Finn (Tanner Novlan) for what he did. He’d never forget it or this experience.
Simultaneously, Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) were at Eric’s home waiting for him and Donna to arrive. Ridge was nervous about how Eric would react to the decisions he made and why he made them. When Eric walked into his mansion, everybody had smiles on their faces, including Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor), who joined them for Eric’s welcome home.
A content Eric took the scenery in, savoring being back in his house. Later, Carter teared up, appreciating Eric being there for him, showing grace and forgiveness. Plus, he was glad he got to say all these things to him now because he wasn’t ready to lose him.

After Carter left, Ridge asked Eric about the other place he mentioned. Eric described going to a crossing place where he heard and saw the light at the same time. It was a place where he felt no pain or aches. And it was a place where he saw Stephanie, who told him she was waiting for him. It would have been a perfect exit.
But it wasn’t his exit. An anxious Ridge needed to know more. He wanted Eric to tell him if he made the right decision to fight for him.
At Il Giardino, Deacon (Sean Kanan) and Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) flirted and relished being the owner and waitress of the restaurant with, allegedly, the best pizza in town. Their smiles momentarily turned upside down when Bill (Don Diamont) and Poppy (Romy Park) walked in seeking a table for their date.
At their table, Poppy had the “pleasure” of meeting the woman who tried to kill Li. Dollar Bill gave suitable warning to Poppy, which caused her to get the sudden urge to throw a drink in Sheila’s face.
Behind the bar, Deacon and Sheila entertained themselves as they gave a play-by-play of Bill and Poppy’s date. Sheila noticed that it looked like Poppy was falling for all of Dollar Bill’s lies.
Meanwhile, Bill noticed Poppy, again, took one of her “special” mints. Then, the two reflected on past times at the music festival where they met. How the vibe was so magical between them.
Suddenly, the billionaire played one of the songs he remembered his date dancing to way back when. Daring her to dance in front of the entire restaurant, Poppy did just that and impressed Bill even more. The two danced and kissed right out there on the back patio of the restaurant.
