Li Blamed Poppy’s Choices for Not Knowing Who Luna’s Father Is

In The Bold and the Beautiful recap for Wednesday, January 24, 2024, Li found out Poppy and Bill were a thing, leading her to make assumptions about Poppy’s past and present choices.

In addition, the Forresters gathered around Eric for a love fest of appreciation and gratitude. Luna called Li’s judgmental ways embarrassing. And Bill and Liam discussed all things Poppy. That was the big picture. Now let’s dig into the details of what went down.

Family is Best Medicine (also Martinis)

At home, Eric (John McCook) kept joking about happy hour and martinis and was grateful for Donna (Jennifer Gareis) and Katie (Heather Tom). Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) joined the fun as a cranky Eric complained about all the restrictions he had to follow. But overall, he loved being home, especially with Donna.

Ridge and Brooke acknowledged Donna’s strength through this entire ordeal. Eric felt like the luckiest man alive to have her by his side. As for an emotional Brooke, she teared up over the love right there in front of her and concluded love was what brought Eric home.

Also, Ridge enjoyed the love fest. But he couldn’t help but comment on how hard it was pretending there was nothing wrong with Eric. It was great getting him back, the patriarch and leader of the family. He called Eric his best friend, and he thought he was going to lose him. Eric vowed that he wouldn’t leave him for a long, long time. After exchanging I love yous, Eric asked Ridge to fix him a martini.

Bill (and Poppy’s) Excellent Beach House Adventure

At the beach house, Liam (Scott Clifton) and Bill (Don Diamont) discussed Wyatt (Darin Brooks) leaving and Bill’s new adventure. Liam couldn’t believe it’s been 20 years since his dad met Poppy (Romy Park). What it sounded like to him was fate, kismet, or something. Bill chalked it up to something otherworldly that brought him and Poppy together again.

Bill told Liam he now understood why Katie didn’t want to get back together with him. Later, Dollar Bill, in a great mood, happily told his son that he felt like he knew everything he needed to know about her. Especially since she was such an open and forthcoming person. He couldn’t imagine her telling him anything that would change things between them.

Family Drama

At Forrester Creations, RJ (Joshua Hoffman) and Luna (Lisa Yamata) were interrupted since, yes, they forgot to lock the door. Poppy was the culprit and as they reminisced about the recent Beach House surprise, Li (Naomi Matsuda) found out Poppy’s seeing Bill Spencer. Of course, she wasn’t happy. Like massive eye roll not happy about it.

Luna tried to protect her mom, but the sisters wanted to talk alone. Li couldn’t believe her sister already found her next sugar daddy. Poppy tried to explain how she met Bill a long, long time ago. Li found it hard to listen now that she knew Poppy and Bill once slept together.

Ultimately, Li wanted Poppy to stay out of Finn and Steffy’s life so that meant staying away from Bill. She put Poppy on notice yet again. She also insinuated that since this kind of thing — sleeping with handsome, wealthy men — was Poppy’s thing, no wonder she had no idea who Luna’s father was.
