On today’s The Bold and the Beautiful episode, Liam Spencer is left flummoxed when having thrown Hope under the bus, Steffy drives over her and then reverses course.
In addition, Hope (Annika Noelle) resolved to put her husband on blast, and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Taylor (Krista Allen) agree to disagree. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.
At the Cliff House, Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) continued to impress upon a disbelieving Liam (Scott Clifton) the veracity of her accusation.
She saw Hope, with her own two eyes, gazing into Thomas’s (Matthew Atkinson) eyes and caressing his hands. “I know what it looks like when a woman has feelings for someone,” she proffered. Still, Liam blanched.

He argued that what she’d seen didn’t mean what she thinks — just like the time he walked in on Hope giggling in Thomas’s lap only to learn that she’d fallen off a riser and Thomas had been good enough to break her fall.
But Steffy persisted. She saw what she, she knows what she knows, and she had to say something to Liam because a) she couldn’t bear to continue listening to Liam disparage Thomas and, b) “This could be bad for everyone.” For Hope, for Liam, and especially for Thomas, who’s been nothing but professional and hasn’t crossed a single line. “Just can’t say the same about Hope.”
At Forrester Creations, Hope groused over Liam’s hanging up on her and how, despite her repeated attempts to reassure him that he has nothing to worry about, he’s still opposed to her working with Thomas.
Thomas granted that Liam did have serious cause for concern given the crimes Thomas committed in the past, but Hope refused to be so magnanimous. All she could see was a husband who didn’t trust her, who didn’t trust her judgment, and who didn’t trust her to know what was best for her.
And when it became clear that her boiling anger was going to prevent her from being productive, Hope decided to be proactive and confront Liam and clear things up with him “once and for all.”
Opposite this, Taylor expressed her hurt feelings over Brooke not being honest with her over her concerns about Thomas [huh? When has Brooke never not been honest about not 100% trusting him?]. Brooke, in turn, suggested that they drop the well-trodden subject, and Taylor agreed — but not before mentioning how much it would help if Brooke were to just put her faith in Thomas.
Hope returned to the cabin she shares with Liam to find him brooding in a chair, sipping from a tumbler full of scotch [has he entered his villain phase?].
He expressed surprise that she was home so early, and she testily explained that they had something that they needed to talk about, namely how little she appreciated how he got off the phone with her earlier and her frustrations with his judgments and his lack of trust where Thomas is concerned.
Liam quipped that perhaps he had been wrong about Thomas, and thanks to Steffy, he might know why. “Steffy said you have feelings for [Thomas].”
