The Bold and the Beautiful recap for Friday, January 5, 2024, featured Thomas and Finn flinging subtle and not-so-subtle threats at each other. In fact, Finn dropped a threat that could end up backfiring on him big time.
Bold and the Beautiful Recap Highlights
In addition, Finn spilled the Xander tea to Hope while Steffy and Thomas solidified their sibling connection. Later, Steffy and Hope compared notes and Ridge urged Brooke to rethink her concerns about Thomas and Hope.
Sibling Synergy
Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood, who makes a bold 2024 prediction here) filled in Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) on everything she’d found out from Finn. What’s important here is that she told Finn (Tanner Novlan) to never mention this Xander (Adain Bradley) business again.
Thomas acknowledged how grateful he was that she had his back. Again, she conveyed how much she was aware that he has done the work and is now a changed man.
On top of that, she also knows that what happened with Emma (Nia Sioux) was an accident. She was the one to lose control of her car. That’s all well and great, but at the end of the day, Thomas could tell Finn doesn’t think the same way Steffy does. He really believed Thomas could hurt Hope.
Hope, You in Danger, Girl
At the hospital, Hope (Annika Noelle) wanted to know why Finn texted her to come meet him. Basically, Finn spilled the tea on Xander accusing Thomas of murder. Hope couldn’t believe this whole mess was back in their lives. She knew Thomas was cleared of any wrongdoing with Emma’s accident. So why was he bringing this up?

Finn quickly approached shaky territory when he told Hope that he’s truly worried about her safety. That Thomas wasn’t the right guy for her. In fact, he was a danger to her and doesn’t deserve her in any way. He cared about her and thinks that Thomas was a detour. Finn believed she needed to walk away from Thomas sooner rather than later.
Meanwhile, Thomas lurked outside and heard the bulk of Finn and Hope’s loaded conversation.
The Hard Sell
After Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor), Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) chatted about Eric’s (John McCook) condition, Ridge expressed guilt. He worried about his dad and how they don’t know how compromised he might be. For his part, Carter truly appreciated Eric’s impact on his life and how he made him feel like family.
Then, Ridge started with the hard sell on accepting Thomas and Hope’s relationship. After Carter made his awkward exit, Ridge asked Brooke some questions about his son. He wanted to know why she still had concerns when Thomas hasn’t done anything lately.
What’s more, how hard does he have to work to get her trust back? How good does he have to be? Why can’t she give him a break? Brooke reluctantly agreed that Thomas has been on good behavior as of late.
Veiled Warnings and Not-so-Subtle Threats
Later, Hope and Steffy compared notes. Steffy learned interesting intel like Finn was the one to text Hope asking to meet with her. And that he worried about her relationship with Thomas. Obviously, Steffy wasn’t happy to hear this. She wished he hadn’t brought Hope into this.
However, Hope knew Thomas didn’t kill Emma, which led to Steffy making a surprising plea. When it came to her relationship with Thomas, Hope had to be all the way in or all the way out. Instantly, this became food for thought for Hope.
Finally, the confrontation of the half-hour went down in Finn’s office. The good doctor immediately expressed his dissatisfaction for Thomas lurking around and eavesdropping on his conversations. The designer made his case for why Finn shouldn’t worry about Hope, that her heart was safe with him.
Ultimately, Thomas said he wanted to get along with Finn. After all, he is family and family shouldn’t fight. He doesn’t want any trouble with his brother-in-law. So maybe Finn shouldn’t put himself in between Thomas and Hope.
Finn wanted to know if that was a treat. Because what Thomas just said? Sounded like one. Finn forgot to be kind and polite. He unleashed his own threats. He claimed he got how everybody thinks Thomas has changed. But he doesn’t buy it for one bit.
He knows Thomas was dangerous and unstable and still the bad person he’s always been. Then he cranked up the threat level by a thousand saying that as long as he lived and breathed, Thomas will NEVER be with Hope.
