On today’s The Bold and the Beautiful episode, Liam Spencer’s best-laid plan to be there for his wife’s big moment fall short. What’s that saying about the road to Hell…?
In addition, the Hope For The Future gang wowed on the streets of Rome while back in L.A. a contingent of well-wishers gathered to…discuss the goings on. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.
Aboard the Spencer family’s private jet, Liam (Scott Clifton) profusely thanked his dad for altering his flight plan in order to get him to where he needed to be. Bill (Don Diamont) soaked up the adoration and assured Liam that he was very welcome. It was no skin off his nose to make a quick stopover in Italy on his way to his massive yacht docked somewhere exotic.
Liam was greatly chagrined to learn that the Wi-Fi was down but decided to look on the bright side. First and foremost, he’ll be able to surprise Hope (Annika Noelle). Secondly, he can avoid Wyatt’s (Darin Brooks) texts, given how often his little brother messages him with the sole purpose of busting his chops.

Liam then briefly considered that maybe his appearance would make him come off as needy and possessive, but Bill disagreed — and he granted Liam that he did have every reason to be concerned about Hope and Thomas’s (Matthew Atkinson) closeness.
That said, and he was totally playing Devil’s Advocate here, Bill couldn’t help but wonder what if Thomas really had changed. What if he really is the angel that everyone is making him out to be? After all, Bill is living proof that people can change. He’s certainly not the man he was a year ago…not that anybody but Liam has noticed. Especially not Katie (Heather Tom).
Liam encouraged his pops not to sweat it. He’s sure that he and Katie will soon make a real go of things [again]. Bill just has to have faith.
Over in Rome, having delighted in the fact that she would be joined by her darling mother [whom she’s apparently totally cool with as of now], Hope readied for her fashion shoot in front of the stunning Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi, AKA the Fountain of the Four Rivers.
A series of pep talks and a moment in the hair and makeup chair later, Hope was ready to get the show on the road. In dress after dress after dress [there were three dresses], she preened and posed. At one point, Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) joined her, all smiles in her Glinda the Good Witch-inspired ensemble. The photogs ate it all up and cried for more.
Afterward, Hope stood before an assemblage of fashion elites, critics, buyers, and admirers and gave a stirring speech about the aims of Hope For The Future and what the line stands for (which is apparently social consciousness and the desire to nurture and protect the world for future generations). Those gathered ate it all up and cried for more. They also cried out for photographs of Hope and Thomas together. The duo happily complied.
Back in L.A., Eric (John McCook), RJ (Joshua Hoffman), Zende (Delon de Metz), and Paris (Diamond White) gathered to discuss the Italian shoot, wax lyric about Hope, and ponder whether or not the City of Eternal Love would have a big impact on Brooke and Ridge’s (Thorsten Kaye) relationship. Eric sure hoped so. Ditto RJ.
