On today’s The Bold and the Beautiful episode, Deacon Sharpe got more than he bargained for when he used the local papers to advertise an open position.
Bold and the Beautiful Recap Highlights
In addition, Hope (Annika Noelle) pointedly wondered how Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) was handling RJ’s (Joshua Hoffman) return while Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) continued to push RJ to abandon his dreams and join the family firm. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.
Bold and the Beautiful Recap: Deacon Sharpe Has Questions
Il Giardino, Trattoria Rustica, Deacon (Sean Kanan) welcomed former owner/head chef Daniele for a visit and learned an important lesson in the art of pizza making — a slower, longer cook will produce the most excellent crust.
Daniele praised Deacon’s efforts since taking over the reins, but Deacon groused that he’d like to make even more money. It does make the world go round, after all.

To that effect, Deacon has plans. Big plans. Like hiring a top-notch wine sommelier. Daniele encouraged Deacon’s loftier goals, but good-naturedly cautioned him to always keep up the quality of the food. That’s what will keep the customers coming back.
Exit Daniele, enter bombastic Count Boucie (special guest star James Carter Walker Jr.), the self-professed answer to all of Deacon’s dreams, and his famished little grandson Orville.
Boucie touted his “exceptional wine mind” and “distinguished palate” and suggested that Deacon put him to the test to prove his credentials.
B&B Recap: Asked And Answered
At Forrester Creations, Hope delighted in her and Thomas’s seeming ability to read one another’s minds. Oh, how he gets her vision. Oh, how he can execute it like no other.
After waxing lyrical and hearing Thomas himself mention how he’s pouring all his energies into the new line, Hope expressed concern that he was getting himself so wrapped up in his work that he won’t have time for him or for Douglas, but Thomas wasn’t worried.
After all, he’d only just spent an amazing day with Douglas at a local ball game. Oh, yes, the ball game. The sight of the gentlemen gorging on all those hotdogs. How could Hope forget?
Talk then turned to Thomas’s feelings about RJ being back in town. Hope granted that she’d understand if Thomas’s feelings were complicated, nuanced, and/or complex. Heck, she could even understand if there were some underlying feelings of competition.
But Thomas poo-pooed the very notion. In fact, he reiterated that if RJ were to decide to join the company, he’d welcome him with open arms. What’s more, he’s glad that their shared baby brother is back, and he’s glad that Ridge and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) are glad that he’s back.
Bold and the Beautiful Recap: Proud Papa
Across the hall, RJ and Eric (John McCook) reconnected before Charlie (Dick Christie) appeared to remind the latter of an important video call.
Once Eric took his leave, RJ took the chance to inquire as to what exactly was going on between Ridge and Brooke. “We’re chillin’,” replied Ridge, who also requested that RJ refrain from playing matchmaker — he’d already had that with his other children, and look how that turned out.
As has become rote, Ridge then gave RJ the hard sell to come work at Forrester Creations. “[You] could be the greatest designer that Forrester has ever seen,” he insisted while shoving a pencil into RJ’s face and demanding that he design…something.
