On today’s The Bold and the Beautiful episode, Bill Spencer was revealed to be a mole for the FBI as well as in league with his most hated foe. Fancy that.
In addition, Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) used a year-ago slip of the tongue against Hope (Annika Noelle) while Deacon (Sean Kanan) blanched at Liam (Scott Clifton) and Wyatt’s (Darin Brooke) bashing of Sheila (Kimberlin Brown). Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.
At his — their? — palatial estate, Bill (Don Diamont) and Sheila smooched, then get down to some serious conversation.
Bill apologized for seeming withdrawn at times but swears that that’s just him and that he’s working on it — and that is all thanks to Sheila. Because of her, he’s learning to be more open and honest, and he hopes that Sheila herself will begin to open up to him as well.
They both agreed that they were ashamed of their pasts, but whereas Sheila would rather forget about it entirely, Bill argued that the only way to truly deal with it is to confront it head-on.
“That’s the gift you’ve given me. I didn’t have that with Katie and Brooke. They didn’t understand the darkness that lives inside. But you do.”
Bill then copped to some of his more mercenary doings. Like the time he had Ridge dumped out of a helicopter. “I wanted to kill him,” confessed Bill, who also revealed that there was a part of him that still wants to kill Ridge.
And then there was the time that he blew up the old Spectra Creations building despite his son and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) being inside. On that day, he nearly killed his own son — something he pointedly mentions that Sheila can relate to.
Bill also claimed to have killed people…just like Sheila. But just when it seemed that Sheila was poised to make a clean breast of things, the lights in the manse flickered and startled her.
Quickly changing the subject, Sheila suggested that she and Bill make tracks and head to the coast for a spot of dinner. Bill agreed, then recalled an important meeting on the books. Rain check!
After ducking out, Bill headed for a state-of-the-art, heavily secured office populated by representatives of the FBI and…Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye)!
“How ya holding up partner,” queried the dressmaker. “How do you think I’m holding up?! I am ready, I am so ready to put Sheila Carter behind bars for life!”
Elsewhere, the cliff house to be exact, Steffy and Finn took advantage of having the morning to themselves by indulging in a spot of sexy time…and worrying about the state of Hope and Liam’s marriage given that the former rehired Thomas against the wishes of the latter. Well, Steffy did most of the worrying, while Finn did his utmost to talk her ’round.
But Steffy was on a roll. Not only was she concerned about the effect Thomas and Hope’s working relationship would have on Hope and Liam’s private one, but she couldn’t help but recall that one time that Hope confessed she still found Thomas “hot.”
Despite herself, Steffy can’t help but be concerned that Hope’s attraction to Thomas will turn into something deeper.
At Il Giardino, Liam updated Wyatt and Deacon about Hope’s decision to bring Thomas back aboard Hope For The Future. The brothers’ conversation inevitably turned to Bill’s continued association with “nine-toed psycho” Sheila, she with the disconcerting stare.
Unable to stomach the disparaging talk, Deacon took his leave and flashbacked his to his and Sheila’s most recent rendezvous. A minute later, he received a panicked phone call from the object of his ardor. Sheila’s worried sick that Bill has rumbled her and Deacon’s affair, and she needed reassurance which Deacon happily provided
