In The Bold and the Beautiful recap for September 29, 2023, Taylor takes Thomas to task for allowing himself to be used by the likes of Hope.
In addition, Deacon proposes to Sheila. As in, “propose” propose. That’s right, he wants to wed that psycho. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.
At Forrester Creations, Taylor (Krista Allen), Ridge (Thorsten Kaye), and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) continued grousing about Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) and the unexplainable pull that Finn (Tanner Novlan) feels towards her, and how she’s a monster incapable of love or being loved (oh, if only they knew).
Soon the top of conversation turned to Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) and recent goings on. Though well aware of the kiss that Hope (Annika Noelle) planted on him in Rome, Taylor was horrified when Brooke up and outed the big secret, namely, “Hope and Thomas are sleeping together.”

Equally disconcerting to Taylor was Ridge’s suggestion that they take a “wait and see” approach to the kids’ situationship. Doesn’t he see how serious this is? Isn’t he concerned that Thomas will retreat to that dark and dangerous place in his mind from which there is no way out?
Across the hall, an aroused Thomas attempted to coax Hope into offering up some “late-night inspiration”, but instead she insisted on making sure they were still on the same page. He gets that her feelings for him haven’t changed, right? It’s not like she’s suddenly in love with him after one dinner.
Thomas insisted that he understood where Hope was coming from. However, that doesn’t mean he’s not still head over heels in love with her and only her. Enter Taylor to break up the party and request an audience with her eldest.
While Hope stomped across the hall to complain about Taylor being in the know, Taylor wondered if getting it on with Hope wasn’t erasing all the progress Thomas had made in the recent past. And, what happens if things don’t end up going Thomas’s way?
Thomas swore that no such backsliding would occur, but Taylor wasn’t buying it. In a desperate move, she implored Thomas learn from her epic life fails (damn Brooke her manipulations! Damn her!). She doesn’t want her son to wake up one day and find himself alone and then beat himself up for daring to think that he had it all under control.
At Il Giardino, Trattoria Rustica, Deacon (Sean Kanan) presented Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) with an assortment of goodies — champagne and her favorite licorice chief among them — and the two reflected on the wild and *ahem* crazy ride that their lives have been on since meeting one another. Deacon, for his part, wasn’t ready to get off said ride anytime soon and instead popped the question to a very stunned Sheila.
