Steffy Forrester told Finn she's staying put for the time being.
In The Bold and the Beautiful recap for August 14, 2023, Finn’s heartfelt pleas fall on deaf ears.
In addition, Ridge fills Brooke in on an inconvenient truth and Liam gloated to Wyatt about how he managed to get under Finn’s skin. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.
At the Forrester manse, Finn (Tanner Novlan) implored Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) to return home to him. This is not how things are supposed to be for them — not after everything that they’ve been through. He can’t take being apart from her any longer.

Finn granted that he screwed up, BIG TIME. He also swore that he wouldn’t ever let Sheila anywhere near him, or Steffy, or Kelly ever again. Won’t Steffy please say that she forgives him? Won’t she please say that she’ll go pack her and the kids up and come home? Please?
No, no, she wouldn’t. Instead, Steffy assured Finn that she heard him and agreed that they were currently in an extremely difficult situation. She then relayed how she’s haunted by the thought of Kelly being swept out by the undertow and how she just couldn’t get the image of Finn hugging Sheila out of his head. That incident has proven to her that Sheila will be in Finn’s life forever, and she couldn’t accept that.
Steffy admitted she really loves Finn. And she didn’t want this space between them — but what he was asking was too much. She couldn’t do it. She wouldn’t do it. She would not come home. She couldn’t put her children in that dangerous environment. She wouldn’t put her children in that dangerous environment.
At Forrester Creations, Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) canoodled and then turned their attention to discussing their kids’ messy, messy love lives.
Ridge floored Brooke with Liam’s (Scott Clifton) confession to still being in love with Steffy but attempted to temper that with the declaration that he doesn’t really believe that Liam is out to destroy Finn and Steffy’s marriage. Brooke huffed as she’d been hoping against hope for a Hope (Annika Noelle) and Liam reunion.
Later, Ridge delighted in spotlighting his and Brooke’s recent reunion in Italy. Oh, how he loved his Logan. Oh, how grateful he was to have her back in his life and in his arms. The two of them would be able to get through anything…until they can’t and they break up for the billionth time.
At the catch-all office at Spencer Publications, Wyatt (Darin Brooks) bothered Liam in hopes of getting more stories about psycho Sheila “playing Malibu lifeguard,” but instead, he got a good belly laugh as his brother recounted the threats that Finn leveled. Haha, as if Liam would ever stay away from Steffy. They had a history…deep history. And he said that to Finn’s face. Haha.
But on a serious note, Liam lamented that he’d ever walked away from Steffy in the first place. Cue the flashback montage to happier times.
