In the Bold and the Beautiful recap for July 11, 2023, RJ rushes to Liam’s side and pleads his sister’s case. If only he hadn’t.
In addition, Hope (Annika Noelle) makes it clear where her priorities lie (and they very much are not with her husband and children, but rather, with their former tormentor) and Deacon delights Sheila with hollow words. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.
At Spencer Publications, Wyatt (Darin Brooks) continued as he had been going on — trying desperately to convince Liam (Scott Clifton) to return to his wife. Is he really prepared to blow up his marriage — not to mention his family — over one little kiss that Hope had with Thomas? Over one little oops?
But it’s not just an oops, bellowed Liam. It’s Thomas. Thomas! G-d, the one man that Hope knew would ruin their marriage. He’ll never be able to get the image of the two out of his head. Thomas — nope, wait, make that Hope with her arms around Thomas pulling him in for a smooch.
Enter RJ (Joshua Hoffman) who’d come to do much the same as Wyatt. He’d just left Hope, and she was in shreds. She’s so, so sorry for what she’s done, and she so, so wants Liam back. She loves him, and RJ bet that [deep, deep, deep down] Liam still loved Hope too.

RJ also reminded Liam that he and Hope had been through so much together — things much worse — and that they’d always gotten through it together. He implored his brother-in-law not to walk away just because his wife made one mistake. Liam didn’t seem much moved.
Over at Thomas’s new abode, he and Hope basked in their togetherness. Eventually, the elephant in the room was broached, namely Liam, and whether or not Hope feels like she’s made a mistake. She very much does not.
She hated that she hurt Liam, she hated that she hurt her family — really, she does. But, how can she and Thomas be a mistake when what they shared feels so right? And besides, she was tired of being with a man that she had to forgive time and time again, who let her down; a man whose loyalties would be forever divided; a man who also harbored an attraction to his ex.
For once in her life, Hope wanted to be with a man who put her first, and who didn’t make her feel like she was competing for his affection. And, that man was Thomas. Most certainly.
Down at the local lockup, Deacon (Sean Kanan) granted Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) that she looked good, damn good — all things considered. Rather than talk about her current address — “It sucks. It really sucks” — the two talked about everything but. They talked about a wild and wacky proposal that took place at the restaurant and about the sweet, sweet might have been. If only Sheila hadn’t messed up so.
