In The Bold and the Beautiful recap for November 21, 2023, Zende suddenly turns villainous because he doesn’t get his way. Seems he’s more Forrester than most give him credit for.
In addition, Finn charged into a losing battle, and Thomas and Hope hoped for the impossible. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.
Over at Forrester Creations, RJ (Joshua Hoffman) and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) continued to debate the right thing to do. RJ pushed for Zende (Delon de Metz) to be told about Eric’s (John McCook) condition, while Ridge thought it best to keep him in the dark. He felt bad about telling Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), so he stopped while he was ahead.
Opposite, Zende busted up Thomas and Hope’s (Annika Noelle) love fest and demanded to know why they weren’t as upset as he was. Why weren’t they fuming over RJ getting handpicked to design with Eric just because of who his daddy is?

After sharing a knowing look, the couple attempted damage control. Both insisted that RJ’s lineage had nothing to do with his hiring. Plus, it was Eric who reached out to RJ. Ridge didn’t intercede. Still, Zende complained about RJ’s “homecourt advantage,” namely that he was the only son of Ridge and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang).
Sometime later, Zende spied RJ and Luna (Lisa Yamada) making out and seemed to devise a scheme. After getting RJ out of the room with a story about Ridge requesting his presence, Zende slunk in and began chatting Luna up.
Opposite, RJ and Ridge debated Zende’s new attitude. As far as Ridge was concerned, there was no cause for alarm. But RJ wasn’t so sure. He voiced concern that Zende was not out to get him and take something precious away from him. However, Ridge laughed, noting that RJ sounded paranoid.
What on Earth does RJ have that Zende could take? What does he have that Zende would want? RJ had a good long thought, and he clearly hit upon a possibility: LUNA!
Speaking of Luna, she’d earlier been dumbfounded by the idea that her mother and Bill Spencer (Don Diamont), the Bill Spencer, might have once crossed paths. And in San Francisco, their old stomping grounds no less. But despite Bill’s insistence that Poppy (Romy Park) was so familiar to him, she claimed to have never met him before. (The lady definitely protested too much!)
Elsewhere, the young woman and Poppy were the topic of conversation by Finn (Tanner Novlan) and Li (Naomi Matsuda). He relayed how he’d promised Luna he’d do everything in his power to engender a reconciliation between their mothers, and Li insisted it was a promise he’d have to break. He’d clearly been snowed. No way would she make nice with her sister. Not in this lifetime!
Back at FC, Thomas and Hope tried and failed to convince Ridge to “breathe new life into the Hope For The Future” budget.
