B&B Recap: Hope Drags Liam For The Filth He Is

In The Bold and the Beautiful recap for November 16, 2023, Liam caught Hope in a semi-awkward position, and she let him know real quick that it was none of his business.

Don’t Say I Can’t Go With Other Boys

Despite schlepping all the way to the she-shed, bottle of wine in hand, Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) still expressed disgust at the very idea of Hope (Annika Noelle) treating Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) to a night in. Would her daughter like to borrow some lingerie while she’s at it?

Hope gasped in disgust. Of course, she didn’t need to borrow any. She had her own that she intended to change into. But first, a rehash of exactly why Thomas was the right man for her…in the here and now, at least.

First, they have a bond. A very special bond. They know and trust each other. Second, she doesn’t have to beg for his attention. She’s the one and only gal in his life. Brooke reminded that Thomas was once obsessed with her — crazily so — but Hope poo-pooed the concern. That was then, and this is now. Everything is fine, okay?

Surprise Knock

Once Brooke took her leave, Hope gussied herself up and then excitedly opened the door upon hearing a knock. Unfortunately, Liam (Scott Clifton) was the one at her door rather than her expected date.

Liam demanded to know what she was doing. And what she was wearing. Also, was she expecting Thomas?! Hope attempted to demur, but Liam insisted on confronting “the scantly clad elephant in the room.” He was horrified to see just how far Hope and Thomas had gone, but Hope was far from apologetic.

Liam, of course, threw a fit. He hurled Thomas’s past up in Hope’s face and accused her of not caring about Beth. Hope shot back that her plans did NOT have to meet his approval and then recalled how Liam had callously turned his back on her rather than show her an ounce of understanding. And the judgment that he rained down on her.

Now, she saw the world in a whole new way. And of all people, he doesn’t get to stand there and judge her. Not the man who went running to his ex when the going got tough. Liam groused that he was scared for Hope and blubbered that he still loved her. (BLAH!)

On Notice

Meanwhile, Brooke confronted Thomas at Forrester Creations and attempted to convince him to spend his evening with anyone other than Hope. No dice! Still, Thomas could understand her misgivings. But he has changed. Brooke has even said so. And Hope certainly seemed to believe it to be true.

Brooke argued that Hope doesn’t love Thomas in the way that he loves her and that she never would. What’s more, she insisted that her daughter was lost and not herself. But one day, when she finds her way back, she’ll sever the connection that she’s building with Thomas. Mark her words!

Credit Where It’s Due

Over at Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Finn’s (Tanner Novlan) abode, the homeowners welcomed RJ (Joshua Hoffman) and Luna (Lisa Yamada).

Luna immediately made a good impression on Steffy, who went on to term her a special woman and thanked her for helping RJ bear the burden of Eric’s (John McCook) secret and for keeping her granddad distracted from his illness. Thanks to her, he got to enjoy his time designing his collection. And for that, Steffy will always be thankful.
