The B&B recap for Monday, January 9, 2023, sees a besotted lover swearing devotion and the lives of would-be witnesses being complicated tenfold.
In this episode, Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) promised Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) that he’d never let her feel lonely, Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) dug his heels in, and Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) and Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) looking on the bright side of life. Now, let’s take a deeper look into what went on.
There’s just something about Sheila. She’s got that ethereal “it.” She’s got a milkshake that brings all the boys to her yard. And once Sheila has someone in her clutches, she never, ever lets go — not that they’d want her to.

Deacon is one such unlucky, ensnared soul. As soon as he returned from Italy and was apprised of his former apartment mate’s predicament, he made a beeline for county lockup so he could see how Sheila was coping. He found her bright-eyed and bushy-tailed and not in the least bit concerned about the hearing that was scheduled later in the day to decide her fate.
She may bring out protective instincts in the opposite sex, but Sheila was quick to point out that she shouldn’t be underestimated. She’s got a plan, a damn good one. And though she appreciates Deacon’s concern and relishes hearing him say that he’ll visit her often and think of her fondly, she suggests he not bother. She’ll be free and clear soon enough.
John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) and Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) are in quite the pickle. They can make Taylor’s day and testify against Sheila, therefore ensuring that the villainess spends the rest of her days behind bars, or they keep mum, and Bill won’t tell the authorities that it was Taylor who shot him lo those many years ago.
To further persuade the young marrieds, Bill threatened to make sure that Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) would suffer serious consequences for her part in faking Finn’s death. Now, what will Steffy and Finn do? Do the right thing and let both their mothers suffer? Say nothing and unleash Sheila onto an unsuspecting populace? It’s do-or-die time.
If there is one thing that Brooke and Taylor can agree on — other than the fact that neither of them wants to be Mrs. Ridge Forrester ever again — it’s that Bill is an out-and-out hero. True blue. Responsible for good triumphing over the Evil that is Sheila. Now, if only they could be a fly on the wall of the judge’s chambers and hear Sheila being sentenced to life behind bars.
