The B&B recap for Tuesday, January 3, 2022, sees a swath of the canvas desperately seeking explanations and assurances from the one man who can offer them but refuses to do so.
In this episode, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) and Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) go to Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) for answers and get zilch. Elsewhere, Katie Logan (Heather Tom) makes a big proclamation, and Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) decides to get to the bottom of things. Now, let’s take a deeper look into what went on.
Liam and Wyatt love their dad. They really do. Which is why they were so darn concerned that Bill had run afoul of Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) and got himself kidnapped or worse.

Rather than clear the boys’ minds, Bill just shrugs and declares the events of the previous night as one of those things that happen from time to time. Also, he doesn’t really want to discuss it any further. Instead, he’d rather stand in the living room brooding, flashbacking to his and Sheila’s sorrowful parting, and consoling himself with the thought that they would soon be reunited.
Despite herself, Katie couldn’t help but declare her ex-husband a bona fide hero. After all, he’d single-handedly brought Sheila to justice. For his part, Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) just wanted to make doubly sure that it really was Sheila who’d been locked up. Call him a Debbie Downer, but it wouldn’t be the first time that someone other than Sheila was doing time for the crimes that Sheila committed…Sugar even had Sheila’s face, if you’ll recall.
Still, Carter had to give his love rival props — Bill did do a good thing. And because of Bill, Carter doesn’t have to worry about putting his life on the line to protect Katie. Instead, he can reap the benefits that come from her being safe and sound and unattached and very much interested in him. Thanks a heap, Bill!
Steffy and Finn were fit to be tied. What on G-d’s green earth is Bill doing? Only last night he’d let himself into their abode and blackmailed them into letting Sheila exit, and in the wee small hours of the morning, he turned her into the police himself?! It doesn’t make sense. It boggles the mind. Steffy has got to figure out what’s going on with Bill.
More importantly, Steffy has got to figure out whether or not Bill is so inclined to turn Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) in for shooting him if she and Finn press charges against Sheila. Well, will he? What do you say, Bill? Huh? Huh?
