The B&B recap for Tuesday, December 27, 2022, finds horror and romance doled out in equal measure on a dark and stormy night.

B&B Recap Highlights

In this episode, John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) puts himself between his wife and harm’s way — and not for the first time. Elsewhere, Katie Logan (Heather Tom) and Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) get hot and heavy while drying off, and Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) and Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) reminisce and resolve to do better. Now, let’s take a deeper look into what went on.

Bold and the Beautiful Recap: Friends In Low Places

With the phone lines down, the power cut, and their security guards indisposed, Finn and Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) find themselves at Sheila Carter’s (Kimberlin Brown) mercy — and despite her previous faux pass that was shooting and grievously wounding both her son and daughter-in-law, Sheila is quite magnanimous.

You see, she hasn’t come to cause any more harm. On the contrary, she’s come to make amends. She loves her family and would do anything for them regardless of how much it would hurt her…other than turn herself into the police, of course. And why would/should Sheila do that anyway? After all, she’s no threat to anyone…anymore.

Finn and Steffy understandably call bull. They also, equally understandably, take the first opportunity presented to them to tie Sheila up with some rope they just happened to have stored in the kitchen. But Sheila is hardly down and out.

And while her detractors assume that this is the end of the line for Sheila, she knows better. She knows that she’ll always come out on top.

As if on cue, with thunder and lightning heralding him, Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) bursts onto the scene — literally — and Sheila couldn’t appear more delighted. Curiouser and curiouser.

The Bold and the Beautiful Recap: The Night Life

Post-check-up and post-dinner, Carter and Katie make the trek back to Forrester Creations and wind up soaked in the process.

Katie takes advantage of her date’s state and suggests he get out of his wet clothes which he happily does. Katie doffs her own duds and the two get cozy in some plush robes and with glasses of champagne. Carter toasts Katie, her grace, her health, and her beauty; Katie is tickled. Cue the passionate clinch.

B&B Recap: Talk It Out

It falls on Brooke to deliver the stinging news of Thomas Forrester’s (Matthew Atkinson) dismissal from the fashion house to Taylor, and for her part, Taylor understands the decision. Still, she can’t help but think that had she and Brooke made the decision to choose themselves and their sisterhood over Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) decades earlier, Thomas might not have gone down such a destructive path.

Oh well. Shoulda, woulda, coulda. At least they did it when they did it. At least their children and their grandchildren can be proud of them in the here and now. At least the two of them feel good about themselves and the choice that they made.

As is generally the case, the topic of conversation eventually turns to Sheila, her antics, and her endgame. Might she do everyone a favor and leave town? Probably not. That’s what a sane, rational person would do, and Sheila’s neither of those things. More’s the pity.
