The B&B recap for Monday, December 19, 2022, saw one man’s dream come crashing down while one woman’s great escape may end up in a crash.
Katie Logan (Heather Tom) came calling on Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) one last time, Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) and Eric Forrester (John McCook) cleared the air, and Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) did everything they could to bring his crazy mama to justice. Now let’s take a deeper dive into what happened.
Bill is very lonely — so lonely he didn’t mind saying it over and over again to Katie, hoping she would realize that means he’s sincere. He wants them to go out to sea on his yacht and spend time together with just them and their son. But despite his good intentions, Katie points out that the sword necklace sends a message and will not help him be who he wants to be.

Bill changed tacts and pleaded that he wants Katie to anchor him, but she couldn’t. Katie says he wants someone like Brooke, meaning he wants to float…not an anchor. He thinks she’s not hearing him and doesn’t understand. He insists he needs her. She says maybe she needs someone to hear her — sure, she’s always there for him, but what about her?
Bill offers to remove the necklace — which he needed for protection — if he has her, he doesn’t need it. He removed it and gave it to her. He just wants her back and promises he’ll be the man she needs. She asked what will happen when he hurts her again. He promises it won’t happen. Luckily, a knock at the door interrupts — Katie texted Carter. Bill makes one more plea, but Katie gives him back the necklace and says goodbye to Bill, and leaves with Carter. Devastated, Bill puts the necklace back on.
Earlier, Eric counseled Carter on his romance with Katie. The two former rivals had a heartwarming talk, as Eric made it clear how much he cares about Katie and wants her to be happy. Carter knows Bill isn’t capable of making that happen. Realizing he was right, Eric wanted to help Carter out, so he invited him to the house for Christmas. After all, Katie will be there too.
Deputy Chief Baker (Dan Martin) showed up at Forrester Creations and spoke with Finn and Steffy. Nope, he didn’t leave it at what Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) said — he went to other places to get cam footage. Yep, the facial recognition proves it really is Sheila, and she’s alive!
The other footage also revealed what she was driving and her license plate. He said it’s only a matter of time before she’s found and arrested. Right on cue, an officer called that he’s found her and is following her on La Cienga, headed for the 405 south. He puts on his siren and continued to pursue. Listening in on speaker phone, Steffy and Finn yelled at the officer that he can’t let her get away, which was sure to make him try harder. Meanwhile, an unhappy Sheila still managed a smirk.
