The B&B recap for Tuesday, December 13, 2022, features every man’s worst nightmare: both of his exes, in a room together, getting along, and clearly plotting.
In this episode, Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) returns to Los Angeles while Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) and Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) reflect on the ties that bind them — and the one that always holds them down, much like an anchor tied to their feet. Elsewhere, Hope Logan Spencer (Annika Noelle) and Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) discuss the she-devil that is Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) and agree to disagree where their mothers’ marriages — or potential marriages — are concerned. Now, let’s take a deeper look into what went on.
Ridge is homeward bound, and Eric Forrester (John McCook) wants all the hot goss. Dish queen! But alas, Ridge is determined that the first people to hear of his decision will be Taylor and Brooke. After all, the entire point of his walkabout was to decide between the ladies, once and for all. It’s only fair.

At Forrester Creations, Brooke wasn’t the least bit pleased to see Taylor — and she made that fact pointedly clear by pointedly not asking her how her vacation went; bitch! — and feared that it was a harbinger of breakups to come, given that she’s well aware Ridge will be around in a moment. But Brooke’s worry is all for naught, Taylor assures. Her return to Los Angeles and Ridge’s is pure coincidence. Oh, and by the by, she’s doing quite well and had a marvelous time!
The atmosphere between the two suddenly softens, and they set about comparing and contrasting their lives and realize that they’re much more alike than previously believed. Of course, they both love Ridge, that’s obvious. But they’re also both tired of the constant back and forth. What’s more, they both love their children, and they’re both pretty steamed over Thomas Forrester’s (Matthew Atkinson) subterfuge.
In the cutting/design room, Steffy and Hope double down on their disbelief that Sheila is alive and well and dumb enough to wear open-toed sandals. As expected, the conversation soon turns to which of their mothers Ridge will choose once he’s back in town.
Hope’s rooting for Brooke, considering that they would never have annulled their marriage in the first place were it not for Thomas; Steffy’s throwing her all behind Ridge and Taylor as endgame. Both agree that Thomas made everybody’s lives a misery.
After his plane lands, Ridge receives a mystery text summoning him to FC. Upon arrival, he finds Taylor and Brooke occupying the same space in a cordial manner. He’s immediately suspicious — and with good reason. He might have something to tell the ladies, but they have something to say to him as well…
