Finn owes Kelly's life to Sheila Carter.
In the Bold and the Beautiful recap for July 31, 2023, Sheila Carter single-handedly saved her son’s stepdaughter from drowning.
In addition, Brooke and Ridge decided to take the plunge (yes, AGAIN), and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) tempted fate big time. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.
Despite Kelly’s (pretty) loud pleas for help, Finn (Tanner Novlan) remained oblivious to the fact that some mighty powerful waves were sweeping her away. Luckily for all concerned, Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) doffed her kicks and plunged into the surf.
In no time, she had Kelly (Sophia Paras McKinlay) in her arms and dragged to safety. A most apologetic Finn tended to Kelly, then introduced her to her savior…who happened to be his mommy. Kelly was pleased to make Sheila’s acquaintance — mostly because she didn’t know any better.

Opposite this, Liam (Scott Clifton) expressed to Steffy his concern that NONE of his loved ones are safe on Finn’s watch. And no, he’s most certainly not overreacting. Steffy poo-pooed the very notion that Finn would do anything to put any of the children (or indeed her) in any sort of danger (HA!).
Liam was still not convinced. After all, normal people don’t hug psychopaths, even if said psychopath is their biological parent. Steffy insisted that her husband would have a good explanation, and Liam certainly hoped so. But, even if one were provided, he was still going to be EXTRA vigilant where Steffy and Kelly were concerned.
Oh yes, Kelly. Liam loves that little girl. So, so much. He ruminated about the day she was born (cue the flashback) and mused how his little one was an old soul in a young body. And, oh, how it physically hurts him when he’s not with her.
Off that nostalgia, it was back to bashing Finn. Steffy reiterated that Liam had nothing to worry about. She’s more than certain that Finn would never, ever have contact with Sheila. What’s more, there’s nothing that the villainess can do to convince Finn to let her back into their lives. Point blank, period.
At Forrester Creations, Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) gave lip service to Sheila of it all, but the important thing on the agenda was getting down to smooching and reflecting on their love affair. After deciding (and declaring) that he loves Brooke now more than he’s ever loved her before, Ridge floated the idea of the two of them getting hitched. The eleventy-fifth time is surely going to be the charm…right? Wedding addict Brooke happily agreed to the idea.
