In The Bold and the Beautiful recap for November 28, 2023, Finn proved to be pretty good comfort for his grief-stricken wife.
In addition, RJ resolved to be there for his grandfather to the bitter end. Ridge refused to take Eric’s noncommittal for a “no.” Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.
At his office, Finn (Tanner Novlan) was happy to see his wife and grateful for the cup of joe she brought, even if she might be using him as a distraction. Besides, he couldn’t blame her. He understood that it was not easy for her to act as if she didn’t know that her grandfather was slowly sashaying down life’s eternal runway.
Steffy talked about all the things her grandfather had done for her and her own children. How he’d taken them in (multiple times), how he made them “magical blueberry pancakes.” Oh, how Steffy wished those pancakes could fix everything.

Finn entered doctor mode and questioned his wife about Eric’s (John McCook) symptoms. Unfortunately, Steffy couldn’t be of much help. Most of what she knew came third-hand, and it was all very vague. The only things she knew for sure was that the first signs of Eric’s illness were tremors in his hands, and he later started coughing up blood.
Finn then wondered how Eric’s symptoms were progressing. Was he coughing more? Was he short of breath? And how was his voice? Is it getting weaker? Steffy couldn’t say. The only thing she could relay was that she’d been told the end was drawing near for her grandfather, and there was nothing she could do.
Over at Forrester Creations, while Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) bemoaned Eric’s stubbornness to Katie (Heather Tom) — why won’t he let them love him, dagnabbit?! — Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) continued to press Eric to bring him onboard the couture line.
He promised that he wouldn’t cramp his and RJ’s (Joshua Hoffman) style. He just wanted a front-row seat to Eric’s process. Eric, for his part, demurred. Ridge continued to press. Brooke, of course, thought it would be a marvelous idea to have three generations collaborating.
Across the hall, Luna (Lisa Yamada) brought some comfort to a spiraling RJ. After recovering, RJ insisted that if this really was going to be Eric’s last line, he would help make it one that no one could stop talking about. And as for Luna, RJ was sure he couldn’t face all this without her.
