In The Bold and the Beautiful recap for December 7, 2023, Eric’s grand finale of a party continued while at the hospital, Finn worked feverishly on his computer as if he were on a mission.

Bold and the Beautiful Recap Highlights

In addition, Eric gave Hope and Thomas his blessing while Bridget and Thorne did their best to keep it together. At the hospital, Li questioned Finn about what he’s doing there when he should be by his wife’s side at Eric’s party. Now let’s dig deeper into what went down.

Love and Blessings

Eric’s (John McCook) grand finale of a celebration continued. He worked the room talking to his friends and family expressing how much he enjoyed them being there. Simultaneously, Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) noticed the happiness present in the room, but also hoped that everybody could keep their emotions in check.

Both Hope (Annika Noelle) and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) expressed how much they’re struggling but also mentioned how Bridget (Ashley Jones) and Thorne (Winsor Harmon) are looking “iffy.” (Clearly, they’re iffy because they haven’t had a much time as everybody else to get used to this news, right?)

Elsewhere around the party, Zende (Delon de Metz) mentioned how vital Eric’s looking. Ridge disavowed him of this thinking and said take a closer look, he wasn’t looking good. It was true, Eric wasn’t doing well. His hand kept shaking. Donna helped him out. Steffy headed over to her grandad to compliment and distract him. Eric told Steffy how much she reminded him of Stephanie (Susan Flannery). He said he can feel her presence. Steffy says she always wanted to live up to her name. He said everything comes full circle, he’ll see Stephanie in due time.

The partygoers mixed and mingled with Eric and each other. At one point, Hope comforted Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) over his grandad’s illness. She expressed her support for him as Eric came over and gave them his blessing. He said it’s terrific that they’re together and that if they make each other happy, go with that.

After all, life is too short not to. He doesn’t think it’s the scandal like everybody else does. The two looked relieved and devastated at the same time. Later, they danced and Thomas thanked Hope for being there with him. She let him know they have to stay strong for Eric and for each other.

More Mingling and a Miracle?

Meanwhile at the hospital, Finn (Tanner Novlan) worked feverishly on his computer. When Li (Naomi Matsuda) came in and questioned why he was still there (read what may be on his mind here) and not by Steffy’s side at the party, he said he couldn’t leave just yet. He was working on something important. Other than that, he didn’t give up any clue as to what he was doing. First, Steffy texted her husband and then called him wondering where he was. Again, he didn’t give up anything. He told her he would get there to the party as soon as he could.

Back at the party, Eric savored his conversations with his family, telling Steffy how happy he was Finn was in her life and he told RJ (Joshua Hoffman) and Luna (Lisa Yamada) they have a great future ahead of them. He enjoyed seeing Katie (Heather Tom) and Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) together as well. Unfortunately, Bridget and Thorne weren’t holding up well. Bridget wanted to use her medical connections to help him. Thorne lamented losing so much time with dad. Bridget wanted to know how she’s not supposed to start crying and never stop. She’s so scared.

Eric’s Speech

In one part of the room, the Logan sisters worried together while Carter, Ridge, and Zende did the same. Eric told Donna she didn’t sign up for this. Then, he needed to sit down all of a sudden. He assured the partygoers, telling them it was simply age. Donna wanted to know if Eric wanted to call it a night. No way, it was time to kick the party into gear. He asked Thomas for a Forrester Martini while Zende was in charge of the music. And everybody looked on while he and Donna danced together.

When Eric suddenly stumbled, he gathered everyone around. He made a speech saying that this party was a dream come true, seeing their beautiful faces smiling and laughing. The famous designer knew he hit them pretty hard with this party and he loved all of them for showing up. Ultimately, he thanked them for giving this wonderful evening he’ll never forget as long as he lives.
