In The Bold and the Beautiful recap for November 2, 2023, Ridge told a little (make that major) white lie to spare his pop’s feelings.
In addition, Steffy’s return made Finn’s day, and Katie worried about the days to come. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.
Eric (John McCook) was dying to know (pun intended). Who was it that pulled out the win? Who’s going to reign as leader of Forrester couture? Him, or Ridge (Thorsten Kaye)? Ridge granted that the battle was close, really close. But there was a discernable winner. And after flashbacking to learn that he pulled ahead, Ridge announced that Eric was the champ.

While Eric and Donna (Jennifer Gareis) hooped and hollered, Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and RJ (Joshua Hoffman) stared in disbelief. Had they just heard Ridge correctly? Yes, yes, they had.
Brooke issued congratulations to Eric and he, in turn, heaped praise onto RJ, his second in command. Ridge then extended his hand and offered his own congratulations. Eric beamed that he still had “it,” and Ridge demurred that he still had a lot to learn from his old man.
Meanwhile, Finn (Tanner Novlan) was floored when the door to his home flew open and Kelly and Hayes rushed in. What were they doing back? How did they get there?
Kelly relayed how she’d gone to sleep on a plane in Italy and woke up in Los Angeles, “like magic.” Finn agreed that it was indeed like magic, then wondered where “Mommy” had gotten to. No sooner had the question been asked than Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) appeared.
After squaring the kids away, the couple got down to some serious conversation. They both agreed that they’d been so, so lonely without the other and Steffy declared that she was home for good. She’s not running away from her life anymore — that’s not who she is. She’s a fighter, and she won’t let Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) take her husband or their family away. She’s going to fight for what’s hers.
Back at Forrester Creations, Luna (Lisa Yamada) and Katie (Heather Tom) attempted to decompress post-fashion face-off but all they could think about was Eric and his terminal condition. Oh, how Katie wished he’d just tell his family the truth so they could rally around and support him. Ridge especially. The love and support that Ridge could give Eric might just be the best medicine. If everyone knew the truth, things would be so different.
