In The Bold and the Beautiful recap for September 19, 2023, Brooke threw her all behind Ridge — at Eric’s expense. Donna and Katie were not impressed.
Bold and the Beautiful Recap Highlights
In addition, RJ made clear where his loyalties lie, and Douglas attempted to parent-trap his folks. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.
B&B Recap: Choosing Sides
At the Forrester mansion, Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) surveyed the living room-cum-makeshift design office, praised RJ (Joshua Hoffman) for joining the ranks of Forrester men who design, and huffed that she was worried this upcoming preview/showdown would be pitting father against son x2. RJ told his mother not to worry.
Donna (Jennifer Gareis) and Katie (Heather Tom) entered. Katie complained about not being made aware of recent happenings — how is the Public Relations expert supposed to do her job if she’s not in the loop?
Sensing that the getting was good, RJ left — but not before eating up the praise that Donna heaped upon him.
Alone with her sisters, Brooke complained about the looming competition and Eric and Ridge’s estrangement, prompting Donna to remind that Eric had approached Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) about a collaboration, and Ridge begged off.

Brooke, for her part, insisted that wasn’t what happened at all (it was). Furthermore, why was Eric risking his reputation and his entire legacy just to complete one final collection? Donna spit out that it seemed like Brooke didn’t think Eric stood a chance at beating Ridge, and her sister cooly countered that “Forrester Creations was defined by Eric, but now it’s defined by Ridge.” Neither Donna nor Katie appreciated the implications.
The Bold and the Beautiful Recap: Battling Brood
Over at FC, Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) tried to convince his good buddy Ridge to confide in him how he really felt about RJ choosing to work with Eric. Surely that’s a massive blow.
Ridge eventually relented and somewhat agreed, then countered that he loved his son and supported his decision, and after his line smoked the one that Eric and RJ came up with, he and his son could work on something together. Carter’s reply? “Don’t count out the great Eric Forrester.”
Brownnoser extraordinaire Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) soon made the scene and happily agreed with his pops that Eric should be taking a backseat and forgetting all about the showdown.
When RJ swung by to collect some supplies, Thomas saddled up to him and condescendingly declared that Eric’s vision wasn’t in keeping with the direction that “they” wanted to take the company. After making sure that the “they” in that statement was Thomas and Ridge, RJ pointedly reminded the two that “whatever direction that you guys are taking the company, you’re doing it on Eric Forrester’s legacy.”
B&B Recap: Out Of The Mouths Of Babes
Across the hall, Hope (Annika Noelle) joined a concerned Douglas (Henry Joseph Samiri) on the couch that she had just had sex with his father on (YUCK!) and listened as the little boy expressed the hope that she could eventually forgive all the bad things Thomas did and that they could all come together as a family. Thomas, who eavesdropped on the tail end of the conversation, seemed to be in agreement with his son’s way of thinking.
