B&B Recap: Brooke Gives Ridge Serious Cause For Alarm

In the Bold and the Beautiful recap for July 25, 2023, Brooke ‘fesses up to Ridge that she’s been lying to him by omission — not that she didn’t have damn good reasons.

In addition, Wyatt tried to get to the root cause of Liam’s issues with Finn (Tanner Novlan), Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) let her imagination run wild, and a newly divorced Hope (Annika Noelle) threw herself at Thomas (Matthew Atkison). Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.

B&B Recap: Son Dance

At Forrester Creations, despite the pile of work before her, all Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) could focus on were the visions of amorous Hope and Thomas dancing through her head. When Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) popped his head in, he assumed that Brooke was distracted by thoughts of Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown), the she-demon who’d been freed by Judge Evan Scott (Michael Corbett).

Of course, Brooke was worried about the havoc that Sheila might wreak, and she was worried about the children and grandchildren…but what worried Brooke especially was Hope. She’s very, very worried about Hope. SO worried about Hope.

When Ridge wondered why she was so concerned, Brooke admitted that she’d been keeping something from him. And it had been a struggle. It wasn’t as though she wanted to keep what she kept from him, it’s just that she would be breaking a confidence.

But, seeing as how she doesn’t want any secrets between them, Brooke relayed how she’d walked in on Hope and Thomas making love. Ridge was not best pleased. In fact, he was mightily concerned that Thomas was sliding back into his old, bad ways, his obsessive patterns. Also, why would Hope, of all people, go running to Thomas? Is it possible that she has feelings for him?

The Bold and the Beautiful Recap: Ex Marks The Spot

At Spencer Publications, Wyatt (Darin Brooks) granted Liam (Scott Clifton) that the video of Finn and Sheila hugging didn’t look good for the good doctor. He really had no business hugging her like that. Liam groused that this proves that Sheila has some kind of hold on Finn and he frightfully wondered how strong a pull Finn feels towards his birth mother.

Wyatt then floated the idea that perhaps, just perhaps, Liam was overreacting a bit because of his recently rekindled feelings for Steffy. Liam blanched. Uh uh. No way. The only thing that Liam has a problem with is Finn hugging a murderous psychopath.

And as for being overprotective, no, uh uh, no way. He’s being the right amount of protective. And speaking of being protective, Liam was quick to recall that time he saved Steffy from drowning in a bathtub conspicuously situated in her old home’s living room.

He was also quick to declare that he wasn’t prepared to let Finn drag “that woman” into all their lives. Nope, uh uh, no way. Not going to happen.

Meanwhile, having dragged out of Finn some assurance that he thinks Sheila is dangerous and should be behind bars, Steffy reacted to every little noise with sheer terror. Surely that rustling sound is Sheila! Surely that squeak is Sheila! Surely Sheila is on her back patio just itching to break in and force her to bond!

B&B Recap: Couple Corner

Back at FC, Hope delighted in informing Thomas that she was an unattached lady — and it had been she who had the divorce papers drawn up. Thomas reminded her that, divorce papers or not, she could still put her family back together again, but Hope wasn’t interested. What she was interested in, however, was picking back up where they left off.
