On today’s The Bold and the Beautiful episode, Hope Logan goes IN on Brooke after she misreads a situation.

Hope Logan Tells Brooke All About Herself

Having startled herself by imagining that it was Thomas writhing atop her instead of her husband — and managing to cover really rather beautifully — Hope troubled Liam by donning her robe and hightailing it out of the cabin, claiming she had to go and make sure that a certain situation was “under control” and that it had everything to do with her mom.

Upon reaching the patio doors, Hope was chagrined to see a lingerie-clad Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Ridge getting incredibly close for her comfort.

Unbeknownst to Hope, however, was what was really going on inside. Despite herself, Brooke was actually pulling away from Ridge, dodging his advances, and insisting that she planned to honor the pact that she made with Taylor (Krista Allen) to avoid the conflict that comes from them competing for Ridge’s affection. And they’re doing this for the sake of the family and for themselves.

As Brooke pointedly pointed out, the three of them aren’t teenagers anymore. They can’t give in to every impulse and desire. Ridge granted that he didn’t want to cause trouble for Brooke and her “new BFF,” and she replied that that was a good thing because — again — she doesn’t intend to break the pact that was made — especially on the first evening that she and Ridge are left alone.

What the former marrieds did do instead was rue the dissolution of their marriage and agree that they probably shouldn’t tell Taylor about the little tête-à-tête had while Brooke was half-dressed.

Once Ridge had taken his leave, Hope burst in, threw Brooke’s robe at her, issued a demand that she put it on, and railed, “What are you doing? And what are you wearing? You’re supposed to be friends with Taylor! What are you doing?!”

Further condemnation was rained down upon Brooke — “This is what you do. You just jump from man to man. And the more inappropriate, the better!” — before Hope finally spit out that she’s so glad that she hasn’t made her same mistakes. “[I’m] Nothing like you, Mom. I’m not.”

Brooke immediately deduced that Hope was projecting and, after clearing up the misunderstanding where Ridge was concerned, she tried to talk her daughter down and into confiding in her what was wrong with her marriage to Liam.

Speaking of Liam, he appeared on the scene in search of his missus and soon had Hope wrapped around him, swearing that she loves their life together and that she’ll never let anything come between them.

At Forrester Creations, Thomas busied himself with a design he was sure Hope would love. Ridge’s one critique? Draw the eye a little further down.

Father and son then nosied into the other’s personal life. Ridge assured Thomas that nothing untoward transpired between him and Brooke. In contrast, Thomas, in turn, assured that his obsession with Hope was a thing of the past and the only thing he was focused on at the minute was making Hope For The Future’s next showing a qualified success — and that’s something Ridge could approve of.
