On today’s The Bold and the Beautiful episode, Sheila Carter thanked her lucky stars that Finn deigned to visit with her.
In addition, RJ (Joshua Hoffman) bemoaned his mother’s new normal and Taylor (Krista Allen) did her utmost to steer Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) in Brooke’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) direction. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.
Down at the local jail, Mike (Ken Hanes) inquired as to Sheila’s (Kimberlin Brown) smileless face and she huffed that “no offense” but when she’d been told she had a visitor, she was expecting either her Finn (Tanner Novlan) or Jack (Ted King). And besides, after their last encounter, she hadn’t exactly thought she’d ever see Mike again.
Mike didn’t take kindly to Sheila’s answer and besmirched Jack as the guy who knocked up Sheila and left her. Sheila corrected that Jack was a man with clout and power. Not to mention the fact that he’s a top-notch criminal defense attorney.

To that seeming pipe dream, Mike cautioned Sheila to get used to the fact that she was stuck in there with him and would be for a long time to come. Sheila, however, didn’t seem to think that that was the case.
Sometime later, having assured Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) that he was making the trek to the jail to make it clear to Sheila that she had no place in their lives, Finn arrived for a one-on-one.
No sooner had he launched into his excoriation than Sheila halted him with thanks for bringing her back from the brink in a real “full circle” kind of moment. She’d given him life, and now he gave her life. And, she’s thankful. So very thankful.
Over at Forrester Creations, RJ asked to speak with his grandpa about a matter of the utmost importance — Brooke’s well-being and her happiness. Is it possible that she’s actually enjoying the single life?
RJ doesn’t think so. Not when the single life wasn’t exactly her own choice. In point of fact, RJ doesn’t see a world where his mother can ever truly be at peace without Ridge (Thorsten Kaye). Eric’s (John McCook) sage advice? Discuss Brooke with Brooke.
At Il Giardino, Trattoria Rustica, an uneasy Brooke took in her surroundings a half dozen times. Finally speaking up from across the table, Taylor swore that Hollis (Hollis W. Chambers) wasn’t on staff that day. She’d made sure of that. Not that she can understand why Brooke wouldn’t want to make a real go of it with that hunk of a man.
Brooke granted that Hollis was a great guy, sweet, and handsome, but he was also young — very young. And besides, if she ever again decides to date, Brooke declared that it had to be someone she knows and trusts and has a history with.
Enter Deacon whom Brooke knows, conditionally trusts, and most certainly has a history with. The two play flirt up a storm, and it takes Taylor quite by surprise — pleasantly so.
When Brooke was called away on urgent fashion business [isn’t it always urgent?], Taylor took the opportunity to float the idea that, with Ridge most assuredly out of the picture, now might be the opportune moment for Deacon to make a move on Brooke.
Back at FC, Steffy’s arrival coincided with Eric’s exit, leaving Steffy and RJ to discuss all things Brooke…and Thomas (Matthew Atkinson).
RJ relayed how he’s decided to give Thomas the benefit of the doubt but complained that his actions today don’t erase his actions of the past, particularly when it comes to upending Brooke’s life and his parents’ marriage. Steffy had to agree.
