Taylor and Deacon were about to make love on Friday’s episode of The Bold and the Beautiful. Rebecca Budig shared what it was like to do a love scene with her co-star Sean Kanan. She revealed that he was “a total gentleman” on the soap set.
Key Takeaways
- Sean Kanan and Rebecca Budig’s characters, Taylor and Deacon, are having an affair.
- Budig admits that it’s a big “risk” they’re both willing to take.
- She enjoys working alongside Kanan, who made her feel comfortable during their love scene.
Taylor and Deacon Get Intimate
In an interview with TV Insider, Budig admitted that Taylor and Deacon were going there with their relationship. During Friday’s episode, Taylor invited Deacon over after Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Finn (Tanner Novlan) went camping with their kids.
This gave Taylor and Deacon the opportunity to finally make love. At the time, Budig had no idea where their relationship was headed. Executive producer Brad Bell was interested in building a slow-burn romance between the two.
“Luckily, Brad wrote this story and took a lot of time with it, and we were able to develop it slowly over time. It wasn’t like we had to instantly fall in love with each other,” Budig noted.
During their love scene, Budig felt comfortable with Kanan. The actress credited Bell for allowing women over 50 to be sexy and desirable. As for her co-star, she called Kanan “a total gentleman,” adding, “We’ve done it for so long, so it’s like a dance that’s choreographed, and I’m with someone who knows how to sell it, and that’s all I could hope for.”
Worth The Risk?
Taylor is aware of the risks involved. Not only was Deacon originally a client, but he’s also married to Sheila (Kimberlin Brown). Budig noted that her alter-ego “knows that she’s risking a lot by doing it.”
But these two can’t deny their feelings any longer. Budig described Taylor’s feelings for Deacon as “physical as well as emotional.” She assumed that she could safely explore her feelings for Deacon at home until Sheila entered the Cliff House.
Budig noted that Taylor wants to believe that Sheila has “changed.” She has shown growth over the years. But she also warned that she hasn’t moved on from the dark past. “So Taylor should fear for her life if Sheila finds out, for sure,” Budig added.
