The Bold and the Beautiful Recap: A Week Of Wonderful Weddings

The Bold and the Beautiful recap for May 4-7, 2020 features a look back at some of this sudser’s most memorable weddings – and since these characters LOVE to get married, there were a whole lotta ceremonies to choose from.

The Bold and the Beautiful Recap Highlights

This week was dedicated to some of BB’s most romantic, adventurous, and epic weddings. And according to Katherine Kelly Lang, who introduced the episodes, they were also chock full of drama. “These are weddings after all.”

Brooke: The Marrying Kind

Not surprisingly, the much-married Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) took center stage as the bride in two episodes. The first saw her become Mrs. Eric Forrester (John McCook)…in spite of her still lingering feelings for her groom’s son.

Luckily, it was only a matter of three years – and complicated paternity pickle…and a long, drawn-out divorce…and Ridge’s (Ron Moss) current wife being presumed dead – before she finally landed her man.

Spotlight

But Brooke was far from the only remembered Logan girl. Viewers were treated to Bill (Don Diamont) and Katie’s (Heather Thom) very first – and, let’s be honest, sweetest, wedding. Bill actually seemed so sincere when he promised to care for the bride to be… too bad he didn’t honor one word of his vows.

Travelogues

Destination weddings took the final two spots of the week. Puglia, Italy, played host to Hope (then-Kim Matula) and Liam’s (Scott Clifton) wedding…which apparently didn’t take seeing as how the groom also swapped vows with his bride’s step-sister, Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) in front of Sydney, Australia’s iconic Opera House.

BB Musings

If you were straining to place the petite Parisian gentleman guest at Brooke and Eric’s wedding we have answers. His name was Pierre and he was a restaurateur who befriended a depressed Brooke when she decamped from LA to France.

It was at his instigation that an estranged Eric and Brooke reunited (and Eric was able to convince Brooke not to abort the baby she was carrying). In recompense, Pierre was installed in his own LA-based restaurant.

There were a plethora of sea puns flying fast and furious during Brooke and Ridge’s first ceremony. Which one (of the MANY) did you find the most egregious?

Given what we know all these decades later, can we file Donna’s quote, “I want a man like Eric. Where do I find one?” in a file marked most-ironic statement ever made? Or is that place reserved for the minister who said that Bill’s love had helped Katie discover joy and banish her sadness – especially considering his “love” has brought her nothing but sadness and a sassy kid?

What was the most shocking moment from the past week — Bill Spencer getting married in a public park in the San Fernando Valley? Or offering an apology to the soon-to-be-married Hope and Liam?
