Technically, Eric’s illness on Bold and the Beautiful is still a secret as grandson Zende Forrester Dominguez doesn’t know about it. The talented designer has recently spoken up about his place in the family business. His being left out of the inner circle related to Eric’s health, however, is going to create further alienation.
Zende Forrester Dominguez: Not in the Know
Eric (John McCook) is going to be surprised, we bet, when he learns that so many of his relatives know about his illness should he discover this fact. However, it’s puzzling to many that Zende (Delon de Metz) hasn’t been told. Should the Forrester family bring Tony (Paulo Benedeti) and Kristen’s (Tracy Melchior) son in on what’s going on with the beloved patriarch? Soap Hub posed this question to B&B fans.
Fashion Backward
A small minority, about 3%, feel that no, Zende should not be told. That’s only going to widen the circle even more than it’s already been expanded. Of course, Zende deserves to be told the truth because he’s a family member, but it might be better to have one less person know the truth. Eric’s a sensitive man. He can pick up on things. When he’s around Zende, he won’t pick up that he knows — because he doesn’t.
Fact Finding
Many of you, 24%, feel that yes, Zende should be told but it’s not up to Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) to do it. You believe that Eric should be the one to tell not only Zende but all his loved ones. If the writers write that Eric opts to tell Zende because he loves and trusts his grandson, it’ll mean more to Zende. It’s better to find out from Eric himself than overhear it just before he walks into an office at Forrester Creations.
I Want the News Not the Weather
The majority of you, 73%, believe that Zende needs to be told. Period. It doesn’t matter whether it’s Eric or Ridge or RJ (Joshua Hoffman) or Donna (Jennifer Gareis), but someone needs to tell Zende the truth. No, Zende shouldn’t find out in an email or via the company newsletter but rather from someone who believes he deserves to know. After all, he’s a member of the Forrester family. In fact, not only does Zende need to know the truth, but so do his parents — Kristen and Tony. Then, they can decide if they want to visit Eric in what may be his final months.
