Should Douglas Forrester Be Kept From Thomas on B&B?

Time and time again, Thomas Forrester has lied to everyone around him including his own son, Douglas Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful. It can’t be good for Douglas’s development to be lied to so often but how far should folks go to keep him safe?

All You Need Is Love

Many of you, 17%, say that no, Douglas should most definitely not be kept from his father. Is Thomas perfect? No. He’s far from it, in fact. However, plenty of people on B&B have lied and fibbed and done less than honorable things. Douglas’s maternal grandmother Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) withheld Ridge’s letter to Caroline (Joanna Johnson).

That led to her marrying Thorne so that Brooke could have Ridge all to herself. Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) lied to Thomas that Douglas was his son, claiming the boy as his own for a year! Hardly anyone on B&B hasn’t committed at least one selfish act. Why should Thomas be denied his son — and vice versa — just because Thomas lied about Brooke calling CPS (Child Protective Services)?

Douglas Forrester – Douglas Spencer?

Okay, nobody is suggesting (yet) that Douglas be adopted by Liam (Scott Clifton). However, 25% of you feel that Thomas should not be allowed to see his son. He’s physically intimidated the little boy on more than one occasion.

Thomas has been trying to emotionally manipulate his son, too. It’s a good thing that Douglas’s paternal grandmother, Dr. Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen), is a world-renowned psychiatrist. He’s going to need some mental health support!

Supervised B&B Visitation

Thomas is not all bad, nor is he all good. That’s why 58% of you feel that Thomas should be allowed supervised visits with Douglas. When Thomas is alone with Douglas, he tries to coerce the child into staying mum while Thomas does something wicked. That’s why Douglas’s ‘mum’ — Hope (Annika Noelle) — should be around Douglas whenever Thomas is also present. Sorry, Thomas. You brought this on yourself!
