Is It Time For The Bold and the Beautiful To Recast Quinn Fuller?

Carter Walton had his heart broken when Quinn Fuller decided to leave him and Los Angeles. He seems to be moving on nicely with Katie Logan, as he tries to prove that nice guys can finish first against the likes of Dollar Bill Spencer. So is it time for Quinn to return to action?

One little fly in the ointment is whether or not her previous portrayer, Rena Sofer, wants to come back to the half-hour soap. If she doesn’t, should the show take a risk and recast the role? Or should it remain open in case the Daytime Emmy winner decides to come back? Soap Hub asked this question, and here’s what you said.

B&B: Only The Original Recipe Will Do

A very robust 59% only wish to see the likes of Quinn return to town if — and only if — Sofer is the one playing Wyatt Spencer’s (Darin Brooks) mother. You know that no one captures Quinn’s particular mix of crazy overprotective mother with crazy wild lover the way she does. Her chemistry with Lawrence Saint-Victor’s Carter Walton and John McCook’s Eric Forrester is off the charts, and that is magic that you can’t see anyone else bringing to the table.

For another 24% of you, you’ll consider having Quinn back as a recast if the story is just so darn juicy that it can’t be put off simply because Sofer isn’t ready to return. You are all for having more drama, and it’s a fantastic role that another actress could do justice with — provided the right care is taken with the crafting of the story.

Then, there’s the 17% that are willing to have the role recast and brought back…as long as the Katie Logan (Heather Tom) and Carter romance has gotten serious enough that they need their first outside roadblock brought in to their story. Could that moment be on the horizon? After seeing Carter put Katie’s ex, Dollar Bill Spencer (Don Diamont), on blast, that moment may be coming up sooner than anyone thinks!
