Our Bold and the Beautiful Take: Too Many Love Triangles

It seems that no one on “The Bold and the Beautiful” is safe from losing their significant other. In recent months, it seems B&B has featured more love triangles than ever.

First, we have the Avants, as sisters Nicole (Reign Edwards) and Sasha (Felisha Cooper) battle over Zende’s affections. Sure, Nicole and Zende (Rome Flynn) may be on the outs, but they still care about each other, and Sasha moved in fast to get Nicole’s man.

Upcoming spoilers reveal this triangle takes on a whole new level after Nicole gives birth to Maya’s baby. Nicole and Zende will rekindle their relationship–only to learn Sasha has a way to stake claim to the Forrester hunk forever.

Then, we have the Logan family drama. Katie (Heather Tom) feels like her marriage is spinning out of control since Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) professed her love to Bill (Don Diamont). What Katie doesn’t know is that the two shared a few passionate kisses and Bill confessed to having feelings, as well.

We also have yet another explosive triangle with the Spencer brothers! Both Wyatt (Darin Brooks) and Liam (Scott Clifton) are head over heels for Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and fighting for her love. She may be married to Wyatt, but she’s loved Wyatt most of her adult life.

To further complicate the matter, Quinn (Rena Sofer) can’t get over her feelings for Liam as well. She loves her son’s brother and wants a chance to start again. Liam has maintained that he hates Quinn, but will he cave if she pushes hard enough?

Liam isn’t even the only option for crazy Quinn. B&B teasers reveal that Deacon (Sean Kanan) is still in love with his ex-wife and wants her back. He wants to relive their happier times and rekindle their old flame.

Wait, there’s more. Caroline (Linsey Godfrey) is torn between a father and son. She may claim that Ridge is the love of her life, but there’s still chemistry between her and Thomas that isn’t going away. When the truth comes out that Thomas fathered her son, will she want to be a real family with Thomas or stay with Ridge forever?

All the family love triangles have become a little much on B&B. Fathers pitted against sons, siblings fighting it out for affection, and even a mother after her son’s older brother! In the small world of the Forresters, Avants, Spencers, and Logans there seem to be way too many love triangles because there aren’t enough people to fall in love on the “Bold and the Beautiful” canvas.

Is it time for B&B to get some fresh new faces? Maybe the show should offer us some who don’t already have a biological connection to the rich and famous families because fans are getting sick of the same old, same old.
