On CBS’s Bold and the Beautiful, Luna Nozawa’s life came to an end when she was hit by an approaching vehicle. The driver turned out to be Dylan, the art teacher. Meanwhile, Lisa Yamada, who won an Emmy for playing Luna, has juggled multiple acting gigs since leaving the series. She recently reunited with her B&B castmates to celebrate the 39th anniversary of the soap. Yamada was spotted with her fellow former co-star and real-life best friend, Christian Weissmann.

Key Takeaways

  • Yamada and Weissmann made appearances at the B&B celebration party and the launch party for their new global streaming app, BBTV.
  • Yamada and Weissmann shared photos on social media.
  • The actress addressed a potential return to the soap.

Is Lisa Yamada Returning to B&B?

Yamada spoke with Michael Fairman TV on the red carpet at the BBTV launch party. She admits she loves to stir the pot, especially on social media. Yamada previously shared photos of herself and Weissmann at the event on her Instagram Stories.

“You know, I like to tease the fans a little… and with Christian Weissmann,” she shared. Then, she was asked whether Luna Nozowa’s reign was truly over. “I believe that she’s dead, but that’s to say that stranger things have happened on this show,” Yamada teased.

She admitted that the door was always open for her to return to the series. Yamada shouted out B&B executive producer and head writer, Brad Bell. “If he ever wants to call me back, I’m here,” she added.

Breaking Down Luna’s Death Scene

Yamada reflected back on Luna’s final scene, which featured a close-up of her face, just before she got hit by an oncoming car. Yamada explained that the “funny” scene had to be filmed “perfectly.” She was satisfied with the final cut.

“I thought it was great,” Yamada said. Some B&B viewers aren’t convinced that Luna is dead. They believe the random girl who stole her clothes and showered at Will’s (Crew Morrow) beach house was the one who died. That’s the running theory on the internet.

For now, the actress is gearing up for the premiere of her new television series, Elle, on July 1. “I actually play this rich snotty little Bel Air girl. So, that’s been really fun because it’s so opposite from Luna,” Yamada explained.

She’s been taking on different roles lately. Yamada also guest-starred on the hit ABC series Will Trent, where she played a college student in a sorority. For more of Yamada’s interview with Michael Fairman TV, check out the video below.
